CONTENTMENT: How to keep your Heart healthy during a global pandemic.

“He who is not contented with what he has, would not be contented with what he would like to have.”― Socrates

Your heart strings are probably being pulled in many directions these days if you are listening to the news, talking to family and friends, or basically aware of what is occurring in the world. Contentment would be near impossible to attain if you were to look externally for a sense of stillness and peace. So how do you keep your heart healthy and balanced in the face of so much conflict and tragedy?

First, you turn your attention inward to find contentment. Contentment is an internal emotional state of acceptance of your present reality, who and where you are at ANY given moment. It has little to do with external circumstances or acquisitions. Contentment radiates from the stillness of a peaceful heart, it cannot be attained by attempting to control your externals.

Here in the U.S. we live in a “more, more, more” culture where we have been encouraged to find relief or at least a change in what we are feeling by reaching for something outside of ourselves, discontentment has been propagated by the market. This has led to emotional imbalances for those caught in this unfulfilling chase.

Now we are in multiple crises and there are many reality based reasons to feel emotions other than contentment. It can be difficult to be available to process the depth of these emotions though, if you are conditioned to seek emotional “relief” from “normal” life by looking outside yourself. The emotional maturity, stamina and fortitude needed to maintain a healthy heart system in the present time demands you look within. The still, present state of contentment is exactly where you want to be to get through the crises in the healthiest way possible.

The general benefits of residing in the place of contentment, generated from the hum of healthy heart, are many. It allows you to have access to your passions and purpose in life. It allows you to be emotionally available to feel the full emotional range in each moment without getting stuck on any particular emotion. And, it keeps your body and mind free of the burden of unprocessed emotions clogging these other systems and manifesting into illness, just to name a few of the benefits.

There are a vast range of emotions that emotionally healthy people experience. Contentment though, is the emotional center point and constant from which all the other emotions ought to emerge, but never take over. It is the still point within the movement of the rest of the emotional range, both positive and negative.  Presence in your heart allows you to feel life fully.

If we are to apply a numerical value scale to this range, the following chart (below) I found on Mark Alan Fish’s blog exemplifies it perfectly. He positions contentment at the place value zero. Zero represents the stillness and void from which all potential emerges. It is not empty in the way you might think, as it contains the untapped potential.

Contentment exists in the absence of emotional reactivity and it creates the space for you to experience the full range of emotional responses. The difference between a reaction and a response in this context is that an emotional response will be felt without losing connection with the stillness in your heart. In contrast to a reaction where the connection is lost. An emotional reaction is like you are taking a rollercoaster ride of emotion that just needs to run its course before you can put your feet back on the ground and access the stillness again.

Coming back to the emotion scale, with contentment at zero, the scale then divides the emotions into three positive and three negative groups of emotions increasing in number as the intensity level increases. A feeling response doesn’t necessarily equate with action. But with contentment as your base you can make a conscious choice of action rather than take the roller coaster ride of a reactive impulse.

For a healthy heart, your emotional goal is to maintain connection with the stillness within your center where contentment resides, no matter what other emotions you may be feeling in the moment. Fostering contentment is preventative medicine for your heart. It will lower your stress, increase your health and well being and get you through the pandemic in good emotional health.

4 Keys to Finding Contentment during a Global Pandemic

Assess where you are relative to where YOU have been and where YOU would like to be – NOT where other people are

Comparing yourself to others is time and energy spent with no return or gain. It will create a barrier to connection and the experience of contentment. Resist the urge, even if everyone around you is doing it, just pay attention to how this behavior makes them feel. We all have our own unique journey with the interplay of nature and nurture influencing us as we evolve. A more productive focus is on your own evolution and accepting where you are. Judgement about where you are is similarly indulgent. Indulging feelings like… I am here but I “should” be somewhere else wastes your life force and prevents you from feeling content with your life.

TAKING ACTION:

Objectively assess and accept where you are on your evolutionary trajectory through life. This may require some inner work. If you are not where you would like to be in life, allow for the stages of grief until you reach acceptance. Then determine if there are steps you can take to make changes in your desired direction. Make a plan and enact your action steps without expectations of results. Simply, maintain an open heart and willingness to learn and grow.

Keep an attitude of gratitude

There are many benefits to maintaining an attitude of gratitude. Research shows that it will make you healthier, more resilient and increase your self esteem. From an energetic perspective gratitude opens the receptive flow of energy. It allows you to be filled with what is real and available.

TAKING ACTION:

Develop the habit of gratitude in action. Express thankfulness in all areas, big and small and show your appreciation to the people who are a part of your life. It opens the flow of energy and brings a sense of fulfillment and contentment. Learn to enjoy the simple things that are free like having  meaningful conversations or taking a walk in nature.

Tend your spirit

Your spirit is your inner world system processing the energy of your life. It is the compliment to your heart in the outer world. Spiritual health supports heart health. I want to note that spirituality is different than religion. While organized religion based in truth can nourish one’s spirit and provide community needs, there are many other ways to foster spiritual health as well. Many people practice meditation, connect with nature or simply surrender to the natural flow of living authentically.

TAKING ACTION:

Don’t wait to fulfill your purpose in life. Aligning your life with your purpose is a lifelong journey, it is not something to put off. It will bring fulfillment, satisfaction and contentment. Live with passion, this is the energy flow that will motivate and nourish you. If the idea of purpose and passion seem out of reach then simply fill your life with the activities and connections that are meaningful to you. Pay attention and you will find clues to your passion and purpose in these moments.

Love people not things

Material possessions are a nice part of life and you may feel a temporary surge of happiness acquiring things but they are inanimate objects and they will not nourish your heart nor bring life sustaining contentment. Directing love towards objects is an energy drain, there is no life to respond. A love based connection with another person on the other hand is creative. The loving exchange will generate energy and nourish your being.

TAKING ACTION:

Only spend time with people who fill your bucket and avoid connections with people who drain you. Focus on seeing, hearing and acknowledging the people you spend time with and show them that you appreciate them with your actions. You can then extend the love by practising random acts of kindness.

Move through life with an open heart. Emotions are part of what makes us human, they add depth to your life and keep you connected with others. Strive for contentment as your emotional goal.  Be present in the moment and open to the full emotional range but don’t attach to the negative or positive emotions. Allow them to be felt and released; let them go. Always return to the stillness in your center. A peaceful heart can express love and it can receive love. It is contented.

Maintaining Stability while in Transition

Humanity as a whole is in a transition provoked by the global pandemic. You are a part of humanity and as such you have no choice or control over the fact that your life has been thrust into a transition period. What you do have is the power to adapt and choose an informed response, but only if you are stable. So how do you maintain stability when the whole world is in crisis? I am going to discuss four key areas that if instituted will provide you with a stable foundation to navigate the transition. The four keys are adhering to your core values, maintaining a basic routine, staying in the right relationship with others and continuing to grow.

ADHERE TO YOUR CORE VALUES

Identify your core values, the foundational beliefs that dictate your choice of behavior and prioritize them to clear up confusion as you face the uncertainty of a rapidly changing and unstable world environment. Your core values are like a rudder that guides your path, honoring these values will enlighten a smooth path through even the most tumultuous of waters. Start with a foundational Value Trinity. Identify your three most important values and write them down. Take these into consideration each day as you navigate the multitude of decisions you will need to make.

Here in the United States the values of our country as a whole are in conflict and being brought into the light. We are in transition to a new normal and different forces are seeking to predominate the formation of this foundational structure. As pre-pandemic societal norms are being violated, the instability this creates can be very unsettling and you may be having a variety of fear based reactions that are bringing your own values into question. You may find yourself wanting to fight against things you are witnessing that violate your values or taking the opposite stance and perceive these violations as permission to disregard your values, “when in Rome…”, or it may be incapacitating your ability to take any action at all.

Identify your fear response to fight, flee or freeze, in order to summon the courage you will need to overcome your fear and stay in an empowered place of forward movement creating your life based on your core values. This will provide you with the inner stability and fortitude to navigate the instability and uncertainty in the world around you. By allowing your personal value system to guide your decisions rather than adhering to the societal norms which are in destructive reactivity to the crises and highly unstable at this time.

MAINTAIN A BASIC ROUTINE

A routine provides a sense of safety, control and purpose to your life. It is the start point and foundation for establishing external structure and stability. Establish a basic routine which includes sleep, nutrition, exercise and stress management. This is the barebones priority of personal care that is essential to survive and function during a prolonged crisis, like we are experiencing. Neglecting these basic needs will catch up with you, cause lasting damage and inhibit your ability to effectively respond to the needs of the crisis. As they say on a plane in the event of an emergency – put your own mask on first! If you do not attend your basic needs all other areas of your life will suffer. But once this routine is established move onto a more holistic routine that includes work, family, community and play. Establish your New Normal routine for the transition.

We are experiencing crises on many levels here in the United States; health, economic, social and the environment. A crisis will provoke uncertainty, fear, anxiety, dread, hopelessness and helplessness as one faces the reality of the situation. We are already seeing the incredible loss of life as a result of people’s inability to cope with the stress. The overwhelming emotions have propelled many individuals into addiction, suicide and homicide; these numbers are all increasing in our country. Sometimes the reality is too difficult to face and one is in a state of denial. Denial of the health risks and failing to employ safety measures have cost tens of thousands of lives. The loss of control, normal routines and basic resources for many is provoking panic and the fight response, breeding social upheaval and acts of violence.

A side note: “A lack of information or conflicting information from authorities is likely to create heightened anxiety and emotional distress. If you start hedging or hiding the bad news, you increase the risk of a confused, angry and uncooperative public.” from CDC Psychology of a Crisis 2019. This is one dynamic we are experiencing in the United States!

A basic routine will enable you to maintain a healthy state of being and manage the stress as you face reality and move through the emotions provoked by the crises. The world around us is unstable right now making it more important than ever for each of us to maintain our own personal stability. A personal routine is foundational for maintaining a calm, stable presence in an unstable world.

STAY IN A “RIGHT RELATIONSHIP” WITH OTHERS

Once you have established your own personal stability, the next step is bringing stability to your relationships with others. I use the phrase “Right Relationship” often in speaking of energy alignment. It is referencing a state of being energetically in balance relationally with another. This can be seen and balanced in the energy field. You can balance this as an individual by approaching your interpersonal relationships in the following manner: be a person of your word, honor the promises you make to people, honor your commitments and consider the needs of others with kindness. Taking this approach will bring stability and connection to your relationships.

From a holistic perspective the right relationship for humanity in response to the pandemic is united. We have not responded in this manner and we have suffered because of it. The United States, a country built on the principle of unity, is more divided than any and suffering more death and loss than any other. This is not a coincidence. People purposefully sowing divisiveness and chaos have compromised the integrity and sustainability of our way of life. We all need to get in the right relationship with one another and the place to begin is with those people closest to you.

Consider your relationships with your family, partner, closest friends, coworkers and the people you interact with each day. Are these connections cooperative and mutually beneficial or are you experiencing conflict and discord? You can’t change other people, only yourself, so aligning your side of your relationships is what you are empowered to do. Being stable and reliable establishes trust and encourages positive connections. With the divisiveness in the country and the overriding need for unity, staying in the right relationship with the people in your life is more important than ever, for you personally but also for the greater good of all.

CONTINUE TO GROW

Ideally one continues to grow and evolve throughout life. During a transition period there are always opportunities to learn new things and expand if we seize those opportunities. But with the instability of a forced transition brought on by crisis and access to resources being limited we are being presented with many challenges to development. Currently many of the opportunities need to be created. Growth equals change and there are risk factors when undergoing a major change in life that can inhibit a stable path of sustainable growth. To surmount these risks one must overcome the resistance to change. There is the need for management of the process, the need to set a tenable pace and address disruptions. One must also deal with any confusion evoked by the imposed quality of the crisis and being forced to change.

Ideally you will manage the risks and stay on a path of stable growth and improvement. But, the areas you were growing pre-pandemic may not be available to you now and continuing to evolve may necessitate modifications during this prolonged crisis. This requires expanding your view of yourself and your environment and bringing in innovation to create new avenues to support growth. The need for innovation is especially relevant with our youth as the education system is largely going online and becoming more restrictive leaving a huge gap in providing the normal means of social and emotional growth for our children. Alternatives need to come into place.

Identify the areas in life where you are learning and growing this year. If you can’t identify any, then consider what opportunities are present and what opportunities are within your means to create for yourself. Work with strategies to overcome your resistance to change, or ask for some help with this. Take charge of your life and evolution bringing management to this process just as you manage your finances or household to keep them stable. Think sustainable growth, throwing yourself into too quick a flow and you will burn out, too slow and it risks fizzling out. Slow and steady wins the race with growth patterns. And reconcile the reality of the crises in the world by expanding your worldview and reassessing the boundaries of your environment. Realign your view of your place in this new world and how you will grow and evolve given available parameters.

It is going to take time for us to reach a new plateau within humanity. The United States is in the thick of crisis on multiple levels forcing adaptation if one is to maintain stability through the transition. Take charge of your life. Honor your core values as you make decisions throughout this transition for inner stability. Maintain a routine that addresses your basic needs first for external stability. Get and stay in the right relationship with the people in your life for cooperative and stable interactions. Seize or create opportunities to continue growing on a stable path of evolution. And if this feels out of reach then ask for help.

Developing Your Sensory Awareness for Greater Harmony in Life

These are certainly tumultuous times we are living in and the level of discord in the world is greater than ever before in our lifetimes. The restoration of universal balance that is needed to return to a harmonic existence is going to require a critical mass coming together in accordance. Be a part of the solution, pay attention to what you are sensing in your environment and harmonize with those around you. Remember, we are all in this together.

Practicing mindfulness focused on your senses will help you to raise consciousness in this area and develop your sensory awareness. This awareness provides invaluable information for navigating life. And it is essential to experience the full richness that is available in each moment. Just as the differing vibrations of the notes in a chord come together in harmonic expression, developing your sensory awareness allows you to harmonize your engagement with the world around you.

Your sensory awareness is your ability to take in and differentiate the complex array of sensory stimuli that you receive from the world you live in. The process of integrating and utilizing this information has three phases. First, you receive the information available through your basic seven senses, yes seven, next you organize the information and finally you use the information to interact with your environment, completing the sensory cycle.

Your senses are interconnected with your personality, which provides the reasoning abilities necessary to utilize the sensory information that you receive. Your personality is the outermost part of yourSELF that meets and interacts with the world and your senses are the receptors through which you receive information from the world. Together they form the give and take exchange that you have with your environment.

In phase one of the sensory cycle your personality traits will determine how open you are to receiving sensory information, how closely you pay attention to it and what you choose to focus on. In the second phase, both your innate personality traits and your conditioning (beliefs etc.) will influence how you interpret and organize the sensory information. The final phase is utilizing this information which is the synthesized culmination of the sensory data you have assimilated both consciously and unconsciously along with your body’s response. This is expressed through your personality as you respond to your life experiences.

Following is an exercise for you to begin developing your sensory awareness. Be patient as it takes time and practice to develop skill in this area, but it is well worth the effort. Sensory awareness opens the door to understanding the depths of human experience and being able to harmonize with the world around you, even when the world is in discord.

Guidance and training is available if you wish to deepen your awareness and ability to utilize sensory information to effect change in your life; schedule a private session with Rebecca.

EXERCISE TO PRACTICE DEVELOPING YOUR SENSORY AWARENESS

Step 1: Stop and Take Sensory Stock.

You learn and grow through engagement with your environment. Paying attention to what you are sensing in the moment increases your conscious awareness and ability to respond rather than react to your surroundings.

Pick a time once or many times throughout the day and set an alarm. When the alarm goes off take a few minutes to open and observe what you are sensing through all seven senses. Keep a record of your observations.

Keep your focus on what you are sensing, drawing conclusions from this information comes later, this is a time to open and pay attention to your body wisdom and innate ability to sense the environment. You have been sensing the world since in utero for most senses, with the exceptions of vision which develops in the first seven months and proprioception which evolves from age 5 -18 and improves with age. With the narrowing of activities available, along with increased risks in the world, the times are beckoning us all to deepen our sensory awareness.

TACTILE SENSE – TOUCH

Pay attention to how everything touching your skin feels. Notice the pressure of all the surfaces supporting the weight of your body. Consider any tactile sense you are experiencing on the surface of your body. Are you hot or cold?

GUSTATORY SENSE – TASTE

Pay attention to what taste you can sense. Is it salty, sweet, sour or bitter? Notice all the feelings you sense on your taste buds.

OLFACTORY SENSE – SMELL

Breathe in deep and slow. Notice the scents you are aware of as the air passes in and out your nose stimulating nerve endings in your olfactory cleft.

AUDITORY SENSE – HEAR

There are many sounds even in the quietest of environments. Indoors there may be the slight hum from electronics or the sound of your own breathing and body movements. Unless you are in a soundproof room there are sounds from outside coming in. If you are outside, subtle sounds from the wind rustling objects near you or distant vehicles, people or animals. Pay attention to all the different sounds you can hear.

VISION SENSE – SEE

Slowly look around to see what is within your view while keeping your body in one location. As you open to receiving the light and perceiving the forms around you, notice the shapes, textures, colors and patterns.

I would like to introduce the final two senses to you in case you are unfamiliar. Your vestibular system consists of vertebrates that reside within your inner ear providing a sense of balance and spatial orientation for coordinating movement. Whereas your proprioception resides within neurons in the muscles, tendons and joints providing a sense of where your body is in space. It lets you know the amount of effort being used to move your body and regulates both your emotional responses and sensory input.

Combining the sensory data from your vestibular system in your head and proprioception throughout your body provides information on your body’s dynamics and kinematics (position and acceleration). These two systems integrate to provide the underlying structure of the sensorium.

VESTIBULAR SENSE – MOVEMENT

Notice the posture of your body and subtle movements your body is making. Are you able to hold your position? Are you experiencing any motion sickness or disorientation? Do you feel regulated and connected with reality? Are you able to focus?

PROPRIOCEPTION SENSE – POSITION

Notice where your body is in space. Pay attention to how your body feels, do you have any tension in your muscles or pain in your joints? Are you aware of any emotional reactivity? Notice the effort it takes to make a small movement with your limbs. Do you feel stable?

Step 2 – Assess your Sensory Awareness.

At the end of the day or after a number of days, come back to your record of sensory observations and bring the reasoning powers of your personality in to begin organizing this information. Make a note regarding any conclusions that you draw from what your senses are telling you about your environment and how you are responding to it.

Step 3 – Utilize Your Sensory Awareness to Harmonize with Your Environment.

Practice paying attention to your sensory information and drawing reasonable conclusions about what your senses are telling you. Notice how you evolve over time with this practice. Keep a record of ways you are able to incorporate this information and respond more effectively to your environment.

Beyond Silence – This is the Voice to Listen To

How are you responding to the Global Pandemic, Economic Crisis and Social Upheaval? This has been my preemptive response.

Four years ago I received an intuitive message from beyond the silence that our country was in trouble and I was being called to action. The guidance I received was to bring healing energy and the principles of universal balance to the United States as a whole for 4 years, running from Jan. 1 2017 through Dec. 31 2020. This overriding focus of the project I would call “United We Stand”.

The need for unity, healing and universal balance was not as obvious four years ago as it is today. But, I have learned over the years to listen to this voice and every time that I have, the importance of the guidance becomes clear in time.

The United States is in crisis. The whole country, along with the rest of the world, became consciously aware of this fact in the spring of this year as the coronavirus global pandemic surged in the US and around the globe. The initial sentiment was “We Are All in this Together!” and many continue in this vein. This is the right messaging and optimal approach to this crisis. Sadly though, it has deteriorated and we are now a country that is divided and in conflict. As the saying goes United We Stand, Divided We Fall. It may be cliche but it is the choice we are facing.

Humanity has been challenged to expand and evolve by its encounter with the coronavirus. As I talked about last April in “Is this Pandemic Tiring You Out” or “Moving at the Speed of Light”. This encounter has created a unified conscious experience within humanity and it has brought us into the universal realm. We see evidence of this as systemic prejudices and inequities are being brought into the consciousness of Americans with a demand for change. During the first three years of this project I worked with groups of people developing energy models. First, working with the Universals, based in equality. These represent the ideals in balance, an optimal state of being and in my opinion the objective we ought to be evolving towards. The systemic issues in this country being brought to light are gross imbalances to which Universal Balance is the ultimate solution.

In 2018, the second year of this project, we spent the whole year developing Holistic Business Models, working with Financial Independence Energetics and building a new Holistic School structure. The importance of this has become clear to me as the economy and business network in this country is also in a crisis state as a secondary impact from the pandemic. It is having an impact across the country from government agencies and corporate america to small businesses, families and individuals. Again we see the demand for change as the systemic problems are coming to light within the business workings in the US. These imbalances are interwoven with the human rights issues of prejudice and inequity that are sparking the social unrest.

Last year, 2019, we spent the year developing models of Family Unity and reformulating the Holistic School structure. These systems in the US are particularly challenged with the changing demands and routines during this time. They are not equipped in present form to accommodate the needs that were previously being met before the pandemic and change is required. The combination of medical, economic and societal crises in the US are touching many families directly and all in person school systems. And many others are impacted by the dramatic changes occurring to everyday life and increasing stress levels created by the crises. This increase in stress has the effect of exacerbating imbalances, and essentially bringing everyone’s “stuff” to the surface, ideally to be dealt with and evolved beyond.

I don’t think anyone would dispute how severely these areas have been impacted within our society. The gross imbalances existing within these systems and the need for dramatic change is being exposed. We all have a part to play in this process and we are in it for the long haul. This is not a time to hunker down and wait it out, even if our right place is to stay at home. Our country is in crisis and being thrust into an accelerated period of change. I believe we need to be proactive to build our new normal and engage the creative process now. As an energy therapist and researcher, this is how I have been doing my part for the last four years by listening to the voice from within, beyond the silence.
But where does this voice come from and how do you get there? It requires you to move beyond the chatter of distractions, beyond your fear, limiting beliefs and emotional reactivity to the quiet stillness within. It is here, within your core, at the edge of your being where you meet something greater than you, source energy and the void from which all innovation and new creations arise. Mindfulness and meditation are practices that can be helpful in making this connection but they only represent one avenue. The key is knowing yourself and what brings you to that deep place of connection within the flow of the universe. Then recognizing and honoring the intuitive information by listening with the utmost of care and incorporating this information into your choices and action. I encourage you all to listen beyond the silence and dare to take the risk of following your intuitive impulses. Honor the part you have to play in building the new normal of tomorrow.

OVERCOMING FEAR – Answering the Call to Action

You are living through a global pandemic. Your fears have triggered an increase in brain arousal preparing your body to respond to the threat. Your system is adapting and attempting to restore balance, a process that is much easier once the threat is over. A continuing threat, like a global pandemic with severe economic and societal consequences, will exhaust your systems. Your body, heart, mind and spirit systems will begin to break down if the effects from the prolonged fear state are not mitigated.

Is your health being compromised? Are you experiencing…

  • Disruptions in your sleep cycle or eating routine?
  • Heart or gut issues?
  • Immune, endocrine or nervous system dysfunction?
  • Mood swings, anxiety or depression?
  • Feeling removed from yourself and your feelings?
  • Obsessive thoughts and/or compulsive behaviors?
  • Bitterness, confusion or despair?

If you are experiencing any of these effects it is time to take action to restore balance and establish a new normal for managing the current environment.

Working with individuals’ fears before the global pandemic was largely work with irrational fears, those conditioned self imposed limitations we all place upon ourselves. Overcoming these types of fears is often a process of reconditioning the physiological response and forming new muscle memory in the body. There are many techniques for this and practices in mindfulness that are helpful. Raising consciousness, developing your skills with “mind over matter”, the matter being your own body, and working with presence are all ways that one can take action to overcome irrational fear. But what about reality based fear?

How do you answer the call to action, and the whole of humanity is being called at this time, when your fears are triggered and they are reality based? When there is a real threat to your survival, body integrity, autonomy, connection to loved one’s and community, how do you calm your body’s flight, flight or freeze reaction to be able to manage your day to day life and keep it moving forward?

The same principles and practices utilized for irrational fears can be helpful with reality based fears with a couple distinct differences that must be addressed. Once a fear response has been triggered in your body it is your memory and higher level decision making that kick in to calm the heightened arousal of your body reaction and the feeling of anxiety that is evoked when fear is triggered.

But, this is a new virus within humanity and a new experience for all of us. There is no memory to access individually or even in the collective consciousness relative to the pandemic and unfolding consequences. So your mind goes to “I am in the unknown and this threat is unfamiliar”. How comfortable are you with facing unfamiliar threats, uncertainty and unknowns? This will play a big part in how well you are coping with the stress of the present reality.

Developing comfort and confidence within yourself as you face the unknown, is an essential skill right now to mitigate the body effects of being in a prolonged fear state. Ways to develop this skill are engaging activities that connect you to your curiosity and wonder. Explore and learn new things. Open to new and different perspectives. Engaging life in this way will help you to develop comfort and confidence facing the unknown and it will mitigate the potential health consequences of the current reality.

The second facet of calming the body once a fight, flight or freeze response has been triggered, is utilizing your higher level reasoning. This too is challenged as there are no preconceived solutions or protocols that have been effectively utilized for the challenges being presented at this time. Our rational, reasoning brain will seek to find a “solution” to the problem and it is not there. It needs to be discovered and created.

Thus, just as you must face the unknown, you must also find new solutions to challenges if you are to mitigate the negative stress effects of a prolonged fear state. As I consistently say, change is a constant and energy is always moving in a creative or a destructive direction. Many people in the world have responded to the threat with a burst of inspiration and innovation to find the needed solutions to the health, economic and societal problems being presented within humanity. They have responded creatively and are mitigating the effects.

The point is, that this is a time to engage your creativity. It doesn’t mean you need to solve all the problems occuring in the world or even in your life. But engaging this part of your being and your brain will promote health while countering the negative effects of your fear. It will place you in a creative flow of energy that will support your movement forward through all the challenges that you are facing. As well as placing you in the flow of humanity that is building the new normal of tomorrow.

UTILIZING MINDFULNESS to OVERCOME PANDEMIC FEARS

The Coronavirus Global Pandemic is provoking all types of fears within humanity. Recognizing and facing the fears being triggered will assist you in mitigating the negative consequences to your health and well being.

Fear is universal. We all experience it, with some very rare exceptions and we all have the same types of fears.

Looking at Dr. Albrecht’s identification of these 5 types, they are: 1. Extinction, 2. Mutilation of Bodily Invasion, 3. Loss of Autonomy, 4.Separation, Abandonment or Rejection, and 5.Humilation, Shame or Worthlessness. All 5 types of fears are triggered within humanity by the current events and we are all impacted.

Practicing mindfulness to identify your fear reactions from an observer perspective places you in a position of empowerment over your fear. Observation alone can have a positive effect and it is the beginning point of developing “mind over matter” to calm your body’s heightened state of arousal.

Take a look at the following list of 5 types of fear and how the pandemic is triggering these fears within humanity. Identify your own fear that has been triggered and observe the effect it is having on your systems.

EXTINCTION

Being in a global pandemic with masses of people dying from a virus that is yet to be understood, there is the reality of a threat to one’s most fundamental survival. Humanities fear of extinction and existential anxiety has been triggered at a global level.

MUTILATION OR BODILY INVASION

We are in a health crisis with a virus that has unknown and potentially deadly health effects. The fear of germs and having our body’s boundaries invaded by this threat is triggered. With Covid-19 being highly contagious person to person, this poses the risk of people developing a fear of other people as well.

LOSS OF AUTONOMY

The pandemic has made it essential for the health and safety of humanity to have restrictions taking away individual autonomy. The lockdowns, social distancing and quarantines, remove the normal freedoms you are accustomed to. This can trigger the fear of being controlled by circumstances that are beyond your control. And with the economic depression created as a secondary crisis the fear of financial insecurity is a real threat for many.

SEPARATION, ABANDONMENT OR REJECTION

Human beings are social creatures and we all have needs for human contact, relationships, family and community. The forced separation from your loved ones and usual in person human connection is triggering this type of fear. People in need have lost access to resources and may feel abandoned. People are in fear reactions and disagreements on how to handle the crisis. This is creating suspicion and rejection amongst individuals.

HUMILIATION, SHAME OR WORTHLESSNESS

This type of fear is the most superficial fear of your “ego” or your sense of integrity of self. Superficial doesn’t mean inconsequential. Being in a new world environment, you must adjust your sense of who you are relative to the changes. This adjustment period has the potential to provoke a plethora of micro fears as you find your footing and self empowerment in this new environment.

Moving at the Speed of Light

I chose this topic for April, early last fall as I felt through the energy of 2020. It couldn’t be more timely as we are peaking with the coronavirus outbreak here in Massachusetts where the ReBalancing Clinic operates. Humanity has rallied and is moving at a faster pace than ever before towards the common goal of overcoming the coronavirus.

All of the activity within the medical and research communities, politics, international affairs, the essential workers in all the different job positions and people adapting to work and family life contained at home; this is all occurring on the densest physical level where energy moves the slowest. There is a range of vibrational levels and if we move to the opposite pole of the spectrum we have the highest vibration and the fastest level of connection within humanity. This is pure light energy traveling at the speed of light.

Now, I have spoken about the unified conscious experience we are having in humanity, in the article “Is this Pandemic Tiring You Out?”  Given the unified conscious experience we are having, the whole of humanity is experiencing a quantum entanglement. This highest level of connection exists within the oneness and movement here occurs at the speed of light. This unified connection is new within humanity and it is creating a rippling through the denser layers accelerating the movement throughout the whole of humanity.

The energetic state of being that humanity is experiencing is one that I have been studying for thirteen years with small groups of people moving through accelerated growth cycles lasting a year at a time. In these groups we would form a unified energy field, by entering a quantum entanglement with specific protocols and objectives to form the unified conscious experience and activate the accelerated growth.

I feel like I have been training and practicing all these years for where we are now in humanity. The students who have participated in these year loops have also trained for the state we are now within. The energy in humanity is moving in the same way I have been studying in these small groups. But, within the small groups we had some advantages.

First, safety factors were put in place based on the most fundamental creative principles governing the creation of life. And second, we had an overriding group motive of shifting towards greater balance, this was locked in with the energetic protocols engaged throughout the year. While, the whole of humanity is unified in the experience with the coronavirus it is not unified in motive or the protocol behind our response.

My study groups were held within a containment field that ensured safety as they went through a full recalibration shifting always towards greater universal balance. They also experienced the 24 HR Attunement, which was designed to preserve and optimize human life. This kept everyone centered on their optimal life path while evolving at an accelerated pace.

Develop the skills your need to not only live through this accelerated transition period, but to seize the opportunities for positive growth and shift towards a greater state of universal balance.

  • Lock into your center
  • Secure the containment of your optimal life path
  • Learn the skills needed for accelerated growth

Is this Pandemic Tiring You Out?

(Learn why- from a quantum perspective)

It is the same reason you are feeling waves of emotion… fear, anxiety, confusion, grief…

These are truly “unprecedented” times. And we are ALL in it together, whether we want to be or not. ALL human beings are subject to impact from this global pandemic because humanity itself will be changed from its encounter with the coronavirus. Human beings collectively have encountered a new threat to life and the conscious involvement with the spreading virus has reached the critical mass needed to create a unified experience. This has a particular impact from an energy and consciousness perspective, that changes the norm within humanity.

The human race is living within a unified field. We are all connected and together embody a single race in one band of energy on the planet earth. Yet, this level of awareness often gets very little attention. For most of us, our primary perception is that we are separate individuals and our focus is consumed with the management of our day to day lives. Both are valid levels of reality and fall within the trinity that I so often speak of; the trinity in terms of the individual, group and oneness bands of energy/consciousness.

Management of one’s life falls within this individual band and extends into the group band as one chooses to engage with others in the world. The importance of the oneness right now, as we confront the coronavirus, is that the challenge is occurring within the oneness band of the human energy field. From here it is migrating through different groups and individuals. This threat has rapidly spread through humanity creating a unified, shared, experience and as such, it is here that the overriding determining factors are playing out. We are all in this together is the “right” message, from an energetic perspective because the only way we will overcome this virus is as a unified force.

Tapping into oneness is for many people an occasional experience that might look like moments of spiritual clarity, gaining a new perspective, an ah ha moment, having a life changing experience or bringing innovation and creativity into the world. It is usually an individual experience of connection with the oneness, group experiences of this nature are much rarer and sadly, often occur around tragedy. The coronavirus global pandemic is such an experience; the oneness of humanity is being affected and changed. As individuals, parts within the rapidly changing whole, we too are being changed in ways we cannot fully understand. This change is occurring within the deepest parts of our being, at the level of oneness.

A shared experience, on a quantum level, creates quantum entanglements. Right now, the critical mass of humanity is being affected by the global pandemic and this is creating a quantum entanglement within the whole of humanity relative to this virus. We can learn about what happens in a quantum entanglement by studying the micro world; here when one particle is affected the whole entangled system is spontaneously and instantly affected. Human consciousness works in this same way, each person is to humanity as the particle is to the entangled system of which it is a part.

With the whole of humanity in a quantum entanglement relative to the virus, what happens when one person is affected by the global pandemic, the whole of humanity is spontaneously and instantly affected. The oneness band of human consciousness is like a fireworks display seen around the globe right now. As I said before, most people simply dip their toes into conscious awareness of the oneness, but right now with the explosive light show occurring on this level it has a way of flooding the unconscious field and percolating into people’s subconscious and conscious awareness.

This is a new state of being for humanity! While humanity as a whole is always connected in energetic oneness, it has not in our lifetimes been in a unified conscious connection around a single focus, like we are now. We have not been entangled as a whole before and being so is changing the dynamic within humanity. Typically an individual’s conscious experience has very little impact on the whole. While bigger groups of people having shared conscious experiences will have an increased impact relative to the size of the group. Any subgroup of people of this nature will experience a spontaneous effect from others within that same group, as occurs within an entangled system, but the impact beyond this will be slow and it will rarely ripple throughout the whole of human consciousness.

Now that we are entangled in a unified field, in this shared conscious experience with the coronavirus, we are feeling that spontaneous rippling from EVERY OTHER person’s experience with the coronavirus within humanity, not just the small subgroups that we belong to. So percolating in our consciousness is the experience of all and humanity is feeling a lot of fear, anxiety, confusion and grief. This accounts for the waves of emotion and surges of energy that seem to emerge from nowhere. They are being felt from the oneness of humanity and our unified field of human consciousness.

Having a unified conscious experience is activating a shift within humanity, propelling us into an accelerated transition period.  Human beings evolve over time. This natural process of change typically ebbs and flows in phases. We go through transition periods where change is accelerated. These happen intermittently throughout our lives and the rest of the time we are living on plateaus where the basic structure and experience of our day to day remains the same. The tools we use for transition phases, during which change is accelerated, are different from the tools we use to maintain a stable and balanced life.

The high rate of change we experience during a transition equates with a high level of stress. Stress consumes a lot of energy and is exhausting when it is sustained, if you feel unusually tired this is why. Humanity is connected in this stress as we face the uncertainty of many unknowns and losses together. Signs that it is getting to you and you might want to utilize stress management techniques are if you are feeling depressed, anxious, angry, irritable, restless, overwhelmed, unmotivated, unfocused, having trouble sleeping or sleeping too much, having racing thoughts or constant worry, problems with your memory, trouble concentrating, or you find yourself making bad decisions. Then it’s time to add some walking, mindfulness exercises, meditation, journaling or creative expression into your days.

If this is not sufficient to mitigate the stress you are feeling then it’s time to reach out for professional help. We each need to be responsible for ourselves right now in ways that are new and different, but we don’t need to do it alone. Giving into martyrdom or victim consciousness only wastes energy and keeps you isolated. My recommendation to you all is to keep yourself physically fit and mentally balanced. Embrace the change occurring, open to the opportunities present and find your footing within the new norm. The elevated stress is going to continue long term, so don’t wait if you need a helping hand to cope with the crisis within humanity.

Expressing One’s Truth – Subjective vs. Objective Reality

Human beings are expressing on a regular basis but are they expressing their truth? One must know their truth first which requires some introspection and then one must choose to express that authentically rather than revealing a masked version. When contemplating one’s truth and the bigger topic of truth itself we get into a myriad of linguistic limitations. With this in mind I am going to begin with the idea of absolute truth first before getting into subjective and objective views of reality.

Absolute truth is synonymous with universal truth in the context of this article and the work at PHI Inc. When speaking of universal truth the only language that can purely describe these absolutes is the universal language of numbers. So, unless one has an affinity and innate understanding of numbers, the ability to communicate about absolute truths will be imperfect and hold the innate relativity of language. An absolute truth is a fact that cannot be changed. It transcends the time-space continuum, thus it is true at all times and in all places. It transcends the individual perspective, thus it is true no matter what for everyone.

Absolutes exist at the level of oneness which encompasses all. The oneness is a part of the trinity including the group and the individual. I will explain the trinity more in a bit. The oneness is where universal truths reside and it is this that I speak of when I reference the “Isness”. It just simply “is”, it is absolute and it is unexplainable with language. Thus, in this language written article I will move on to discussing objective truths which are an agreed upon truth from a collective group perspective of reality and subjective truths which are individually particular in nature.

But first, I would like to expound upon the idea of the trinity in relation to humanity and these three different perspectives of reality. In its absolute form and speaking in the universal language, the trinity is the number 3. Once we begin to utilize conversational language we are getting out of the realm of absolutes and into an objective or subjective description of reality. My definition of the trinity is as follows:the human trinity is a three way breakdown of the different vibrational bands of a person. In english, I would label these the Individual, the Group and the Oneness. Each of these energy fields has its own distinct formational framework and creative dynamics within humanity.

When it comes to the absolute truth of reality, you will only find this within the oneness and source of all. Truth radiates from its source in gradations to lower levels of truth and the next vibrational band we encounter is the group.  Here is where we find observable facts and objective reality. This means that something is actual and it exists independent of the mind. This is the “real” world within the time space continuum. The correspondence theory applies here as truth is looked at in terms of the relationship of the concept to the actual, physical world.

Authentic expression of one’s truth from this group perspective relies upon observable facts. The first part of this is the observer, we all have an observer part of self. The clarity of your observer part is relative to the clarity of your connection to the oneness and absolute truth. Remember truth radiates, thus this group energy field is a complex array emerging from the oneness. One’s ability to clearly observe facts and one’s willingness then, to express those facts objectively will determine the authenticity of their expression.

As we radiate to the third and final vibrational band, we find ourselves within the individual energy field. This is where subjective reality, the lowest level of truth, exists. An individual’s subjective perspective is formed through the body, heart, mind and spirit systems. As an individual processes the energy of living, the interpretation of these experiences is what forms one’s individual truth. Thus, a person’s beliefs, opinions, senses, emotions and personal feelings are all incorporated into their subjective view of reality.

The individual energy field is where the “story” of a person’s life takes place. Everyone has a “story”, an accounting of their life experiences from their uniquely subjective vantagepoint. The Coherence theory applies here as truth is evaluated in terms of interconnected belief. A belief is true if it is consistent with other beliefs we have. I would expand this to include all of the individual systems’ (body, heart, mind and spirit) information. It is one’s beliefs, emotions, instincts and sensory perceptions that all intermix to create the matrix of one’s life story and subjective view of reality.

As one lives, continually having more experiences and processing more information, one’s subjective view will ideally evolve and expand. But this requires consciousness to question the validity of one’s beliefs, emotions, feelings… as new experiential data is being received. Holding onto rigid beliefs creates a narrow view of one’s life, blocking access to the more expansive, objective view of reality that the group energy provides. As well as blocking one’s clear view and connection with absolute truth, the universal wisdom of all.

As the individual is the furthest radiation of the light, the original purity of absolute truth can feel out of reach. Yet, remember universal truths are always present as they transcend the time space continuum and they exist within all time and are in all places. As such absolute truth is always available to every individual, at all times and in all places. This breaks down the beliefs individuals often have that they need to….do something or go somewhere or create the time or go through another person or institution…to experience the purity of life and the universe.

I would like to make a note on the fact that energy is always in motion, as such if growth is not occurring then decay is. Decay in this regard can look like progressive disease, disorder and disarray within the individual energy field as connection with one’s source and alignment with universals becomes more and more limited. Sometimes it can appear on the surface as if nothing is changing, the same thing keeps happening repetitively.

The aspects of repetition that are life sustaining and simple maintenance of life, like drinking water everyday, are in sync with the flow of evolution. Yet, repeating life inhibiting patterns of belief, emotion… will perpetuate a flow of decay as these patterns limiting truth will become deeper and denser with each repetition. The further along a decaying framework is, the harder it is to turn  around and the greater the energy required to restore a perspective of truth that holds the test of the trinity.

Now let’s look at the authenticity of one’s truth relative to the trinity. Expression of one’s individual truth will hold authenticity provided the individual believes it is true. But it remains limited to being an individual’s subjective perspective. To test the authenticity further we must move closer to the source and evaluate the truth relative to the objective group view. If it doesn’t hold here then the truth represents a limited perspective, one that blocks the individual from access to a deeper, purer truth. The exception here lies in innovation, where the individual brings something new to the group at large. If the truth does hold within the group energy, then one’s observer part is working well and one’s subjective interpretation of life is in alignment with an observable factual reality.

The final evaluation comes when the truth is viewed comparatively to absolute truth and universals. This requires communion within the oneness and intuitive assessment. If one can bring their individual view of reality into the expansive oneness, beyond language, and it remains unchanged then it holds the test of the trinity. A perfectly pure and authentic expression of one’s truth will synchronize and harmonize all three bands of energy.

Truth is the consciousness that illuminates the energy of life in motion. Thus, through the process of evaluating your personal truth and subjective view of reality, you can reshape the “story” of your life. And if you expand to include the group energy, your story will have objectivity and relativity within the time space continuum. Not to mention you will have a clear group view based on facts and observations and you will be equipped to navigate life with greater ease and conscious choice. And if you expand further to include the oneness, encompassing the whole of the trinity you will know the purity of “truth” itself, remember we are beyond language here.

Synchronizing these views of reality is one aspect of authentic living in universal balance. The human trinity from an energy view is three vibrational bands forming the individual energy field, the group energy field and the oneness energy field. When in balance the perspectives from the three vibrational bands remain distinct, yet they line up perfectly like three sides of an equilateral triangle. Thus, one’s individual subjective view is aligned with an objective group reality and both are aligned with absolute truth. The trinity is a foundational concept in understanding truth and accessing a clear view of reality. It is through alignment with the trinity that you awaken to the truth of who you are and can then authentically express that truth within the world.

Human Equality – End the …ISM’S

Human equality has been a subject of intense passion for me since I can recall. The inherent equal value of every human being has been such an unquestionable truth in my mind that the state of affairs in the world, displaying such gross contradiction to this left me quite perplexed as a youth. I remember studying the Holocaust in depth, in middle school. I chose this topic of study in an extra class where we had freedom to research an area of interest. I suppose this was an odd topic for a twelve year old christian girl. But through this experience, I made a decision to spend my life supporting human equality.

Within humanity we have the Universal Declaration of Human Rights which states each human being’s right to equality and yet the world is filled with inequalities and ism’s. An ism is a prejudice or discrimination on the basis of a (specified) attribute. The complex differences among human beings provide an unending array of attributes subject to prejudice. But these differences are superficial and they represent a small part of our humanity compared to the overriding universal sameness that we all share.

Orienting myself in a perspective of universality and devoting my life to the study and practice of universal principles, to bear witness to the world at large, not to mention my day to day observances of inequalities has been heartbreaking to say the least. People’s fears and insecurities override, block and distort their connection with a universal view. This leads to competition and hierarchies that close people into small entangled realities, perpetuating an endless struggle. Fighting one’s way out is a hopeless quest because the fight keeps the cycle going.

So how do we escape this fate? Stop struggling. Stop accepting a stance of less than. Stop fighting to be better than or prove you are better than. To whom are you trying to prove your worth? See a person’s humanity first, then address their differences with a proper perspective of the secondary importance of those attributes. Have the courage to stand up for what is right, oppose the narrow view of any ism. Think about your own differences being persecuted, being viewed only as the embodiment of a subtle trait you possess and having your basic humanity denied. This is the reality we will continue to live on the earth as long as the critical mass supports it. Are you a part of that critical mass or are you an agent of change towards the realization of our universal human rights.

Individually we can all feel small and unable to affect change in the massive problems of the world, but I know my presence contributes to that critical mass, one way or another. An important note on not choosing; critical mass works such that a non “vote” defaults to the majority choice just like in an election. So if you take yourself out of the group decision you are inadvertently supporting the ism’s that we see creating so much pain and destruction. All I, or anyone, can do is one’s part. The question I ask myself is am I doing it? Or am I lost in the world of ism’s, giving into the critical mass and becoming a part of the problem. I want to make sure my part is one supporting universal equality for all.

Looking at a person on a physical level, the DNA coding from person to person is 99.9 % the same. All the ism’s, the unnecessary pain and suffering and struggle is over .1 % of who we are as individuals. Falling into this small narrow view is like being 99.9% Unconscious. So the next time you find yourself having a judgement over differences, remember you are ignoring almost a hundred percent of what is present, in front of you. Do you really want to miss out on experiencing that much of life? I know I don’t. So I try to learn from the differences I see in other people and cultures, without forgetting that we are fundamentally the same in our makeup. I remember that the creative principles  governing our lives are the same, we are embarking upon the journey of life together, walking on the same foundation and building our lives out of the same basic elements.

The creative models that I work with are shaped in the structure of the platonic solids, the universal forms of equality and balance.

A Platonic solid is a regular convex polyhedron. It is constructed by congruent (identical in shape and size), regular (all angles equal and all sides equal), polygonal faces with the same number of faces meeting at each vertex. Five solids meet these criteria: Geometers have studied the Platonic solids for thousands of years. They are named for the ancient Greek philosopher Plato who hypothesized in on of his dialogues, the Timaeus, that the classical elements were made of these regular solids. (wikipedia)

It was not by my conscious design that my life’s work in energetics would be based on forms built from equalities, a deeply committed passion for me since I was a child, but it’s funny how things work out sometimes.

The understanding of these universal forms models as keys to accessing and directly interacting with the forces of the universe was understood in Plato’s time. This knowledge was taught in mystery schools and passed down through the generations to the present day. Today there is a mass of information and mystery school teachings available to anyone who can access the internet. Most people simply don’t understand what this information is or how to use it. It provides the fundamental keys to understanding and tapping into the unified field and source energies. This knowledge has lived on in human interest and study but has been largely lost to the scientific community. It is the design of the set of models that I have built with the help of many, over the course of ten years and updated in their integrative workings the past three years.  These models are utilized for ReBalancing Clinics and healing sessions.

The forms of the platonic solids are the elemental building blocks upon which our reality is designed. This includes physical reality, which can be out of sync or in conflict with our emotional, mental or spiritual level of reality at any given time. Things in reality have form, these different levels of reality are simply vibrating at different frequencies and are experienced differently but the basic elemental form remains the same throughout. It remains the same from person to person as well. Take the form of the human body. While each is a unique manifest form, the basic elemental form of a human being is almost identical, with small variations – recall the .1% DNA difference. The basic structure and shape of a human being is universal and built from these universal forms.

So where can one access these universal forms? They exist at the edge between the inner and outer realms, the meeting place of energy with consciousness. It is the place of the notorious “veil” between realms. From my perspective, lifting the veil, means clearing the lenses of the universal forms of reality to be able to perceive clearly. An important point to remember is that we are constantly changing, moving within a time/space continuum, our bodies are made up of tiny moving particles. Form in the sense I am speaking is not a static immovable thing, it is dynamic, like the human body. If one perceives holistically this active ever changing reality that is our life is what becomes clear.

In action the forms are the essential elements constructing life, giving universal structure and shape, forming an evolutionary energy flow moving matter always back to balanced equality. These universal forms provide access to the forces in the universe to transform the construction of life. Aligning to these basic universals opens one to the purity of source energies. It is the use of our freewill within any realm of reality that empowers us to effect change within our lives. If that change is to align with equality based principles then it will align with the universal forms, the platonic solids. To overview, working with these universal forms in any application will re-establish a foundation of balance and equality. It will set the energy flow of change in motion to realign the structure and shape of life to these elemental equality based building blocks. I want to make one final note on working with the universal forms. The inner and outer realms are a perfect mirror reflection of one another. Thus, change in one realm is reflected in the other. What this means is that inner work effects change in your outer life and vice versa.  So I encourage you all to open to the wisdom of the universal forms. I encourage you also to live with consciousness, remember your humanity and see the whole person when you encounter others. If you can see how alike you are and how small the differences then, you are beginning to get the bigger picture. And you are contributing towards a critical mass that ends the ism’s.
