Building a Vessel for Abundance

As you work to attract a full and rich life, the abundance coming in needs to be received and held for you to consciously experience it. Your vessel is your energetic receptacle receiving the energy of all that is within your life. This exists on a subtler level of energy than the body, which inhabits the densest level. Your vessel is roughly twelve times the size of your body which resides at the center. You can think of it like a cup that you fill with the energies of life, drinking in life and refilling your cup.

The vessel is a universal construct. The configuration of your vessel is determined by your vibrational frequency and dimensional array. This is what dictates the parameters and limits of what can manifest in your physical life. Attuning your vessel for abundance is a matter of raising your frequency and expanding your dimensionality. Viewing the vessel from the perspective of the universal forms I will suggest some simple ways that you can raise your frequency and expand dimensionality within each of the universal elements.

BEGIN WITH A BLANK SLATE

The universal form governing the potential within life is the sphere.

The beginning point of your vessel precedes vibration and dimension. It arises from the place of untapped potential or potential energy. It is from this place that all of existence emerges. By connecting with the counterpoint to everything which is nothingness you have a clear view of all. It is here that the purity of free will choice exists.

The best way I have found to connect with this place is by entering a state of perfect stillness and silence, releasing all I know and becoming a blank slate. Energetically it is a return to ground zero, the place where all potential exists. To begin, settle into the silent stillness, connect with your source energies (your creator) and open to the place of pure knowing. It is here that you have access to the full potential of your vessel.

CONNECT WITH WHAT SPARKS YOU

The universal form governing the spark of life is the tetrahedron.

The universe began with the big bang, the initial spark of life as we know it. All creation within life mimics this initiating event and begins with a spark. When your life force is sparked and you engage in the process of creating you are increasing your vibrational frequency. Parents know that bringing a child into the world is an expansive experience like no other. This is because it is the creation of life itself. But, having children is not the only way to engage in a pure act of creation. Innovation and original creative expressions will engage a high vibrational spark of life. Even bringing a creative spark, reverence or sacredness to the simple maintenance of daily life will raise your frequency.

Living a full and rich life will increase your dimensionality. Each different area of creative expression or life engagement will add to the array. Engaging the energy and consciousness of the higher levels of reality will bring you up a dimensional ladder. This can be through energy work, channeling or some other form of raising energy consciousness. And working with the universals will open you to the full multidimensional reality in which you live.

BE FULLY PRESENT

The universal form governing the time of your life is the hexahedron(cube).

The more present you are, the higher your vibrational frequency will be. By consciously or unconsciously holding onto the past, living based in old beliefs or conditioning that inhibits your potential from actualizing you are lowering your frequency. This is also the case anytime you are giving into irrational fears or worrying about the future. Either way you are missing the abundance available to you in the present moment. You need to be home, within yourself, to receive “the package” of abundance being given to you from the universe.

Deepening into your understanding of others and the world around you will increase your dimensionality. Be fully present to understand others’ perspectives, to “walk a mile in their shoes” as the saying goes. Take others in, sense them and receive them fully. This will not only increase your dimensionality, it will add to the abundance in your life.

MAKE ROOM FOR ABUNDANCE

The universal form governing the space of your life is the octahedron.

Allow your light to shine. The more full and bright it is, the higher the frequency. Actualize who you are. An actualized person will vibrate at the highest frequency. You want a clean and clear space for abundance to come into. Clear out anything that is blocking or inhibiting the emanation of your light and actualization of who you are. These are the things within yourSelf and your life that are toxic or just taking up space. Release attachments to people, places and things that no longer serve you. Things that are negative lower your vibrational frequency.

Sharing who you are authentically with others and utilizing your natural abilities in your life will increase your dimensionality. Having a broad scope with varied connections on different levels will fill your life with a multidimensional array. Whereas, living by rote within the confines of conditioned constructs will keep you boxed into a limited array.

OPEN YOUR RECEPTORS

The universal form governing your perception is the icosahedron

The universe is abundant. When you perceive the abundance around you it opens your receptive channels to allow the abundance in. You can raise the frequency of what your receptors are attracting by focusing on the positive things you are drawing to you while refusing to engage the negative. Utilizing tools, like keeping a gratitude journal, will open your receptors and raise your vibration. While perseverating on your fears or judgments will lower your vibration. Pay attention to what you attract that is a high frequency and receive it fully to encourage more of the same.

You can increase your dimensionality through development of your sensory awareness. By utilizing all of your senses you open more channels for information/energy to come in. Each sense tunes into a different band of energy adding to the multidimensionality of your perception. Having a clear and comprehensive perception of life allows you to exercise discernment and attract abundance as you receive the energy of life.

EMBODY YOUR DIVINITY

The universal form governing your life creation is the dodecahedron.

You are always creating your life. Every action you take, or fail to take, influences your creation. When you embody your divinity and take action from your higher self you are connecting with a higher (vibrational) reality and increasing your frequency. You will vibrate at the highest possible frequency when your choices are being generated by altruistic motives. To raise your frequency, embody the best self that you can be and dare to have the courage to use your power for the greater good.

Being in your power, exercising your free will and expressing who you are authentically in all the different areas of your life will increase your dimensionality. Give freely of yourself, it will always come back to you in some form as the universe is engineered to be equality based. The act of giving, in and of itself, will stretch you into all the dimensions within your reach to be able to embody them.

As you work to raise your vibrational frequency and expand your dimensional array you will be transforming your vessel and ultimately building a vessel for abundance. The universe is abundant by nature, it is up to you how much you open to receive. Begin with a blank state, connect with what sparks you, be fully present, make room for abundance, open your receptors and embody your divinity. Doing this will attune you to the high frequency multidimensional array available to you in each moment and it will allow the elements of abundance to flow into your life.

Life’s Mysteries Disclosed

The “Universals” and the “Particulars”

The universal forms are the basic building blocks that mold the universe in which we live. Plato would call these “eternal forms” as they are immutable and they establish a permanent reality. The universals generate a constant influence governing and regulating reality as it unfolds in it’s dynamic living state. The “forms” are simply the arrangement or organization of the universe, they are not the universe itself.

The universal forms take the shape of the five platonic solids; tetrahedron, hexahedron, octahedron, icosahedron and dodecahedron, along with the encompassing sphere. They are pure, equalized and perfectly balanced. The universals establish the parameters of reality and govern the structure and flow of life. The universal forms are germane to both inner space and outer space alike.

There are universals and then there are particulars, which essentially includes everything else. The particulars, like energy and consciousness for instance (the material and sensible in Plato’s terms) are finite, subject to change and can only participate within and seek to reflect the likeness of the universals, they cannot be universal.  Each of our lives is particular in nature. Our energy and consciousness are constantly changing shape. If one is on an evolutionary path that shape will migrate closer and closer towards being a perfect reflection of the universal forms.

Plato talks about the forms as “the Good”. I would say the forms construct perfect balance, both in the structure and the flow of life unfolding. I do not relate things as being “Good” or “Bad” but rather structurally balanced or imbalanced to varying degrees with a flow that is either creative or destructive. Any formed thing that deviates from the purity and perfection of the universal forms creates an imperfect likeness to the universals. These formations are akin to the shadows on the walls of the cave in Plato’s famous allegory of the cave.

These “imperfect” formations are what you see in the world around you. That is, unless you can see the higher reality of the universals. To do so requires you stretch your view to see the whole. I am going to explain why this is the case by citing a research study into the cubic nature of earth.

Scientists prove the average shape of Earth is a Cube!

Plato assigned the cube, one of the five platonic solids, to the earth element. The cube (hexahedron) is the universal model that I have spent the most time researching and mapping. The way that I would put it is that the cube is the unseen model and framework that governs the formation and parameters of the earth element. And, this is just one example of the cube’s influences which are innumerable.

I was so excited to find this research study. This knowledge has been around since B.C.E. and yet the scientific community has failed to understand and integrate this information, leaving it behind. Nevertheless it is so innate, the information has continued to draw the interest of many for millenia.

Now there is proof and a glimpse into the cubic nature of the earth element.

Plato was right: Earth is made, on average, of cubes. The ancient Greek philosopher was on to something, researchers found…In a new paper in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, a team from the University of Pennsylvania, Budapest University of Technology and Economics, and University of Debrecen uses math, geology, and physics to demonstrate that the average shape of rocks on Earth is a cube…”The interesting thing here is that what we find with rock, or earth, is that there is more than a concep‐ tual lineage back to Plato. It turns out that Plato’s conception about the element earth being made up of cubes is, literally, the statistical average model for real earth. And that is just mind-blowing.” … University of Pennsylvania. “Plato was right: Earth is made, on average, of cubes: The ancient Greek philosopher was on to something, researchers found.” ScienceDaily. ScienceDaily, 20 July 2020. <www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2020/07/200720112214.htm>.

So it is not that each rock forms a perfect cube, but all the rock fragments put together, average out to be a cube. Thus, one must view the whole to be able to see, the unseen parameters, the universal framework that governs the physical matter of earth. Each rock fragment can deviate from the form to the degree that another rock fragment deviates in an equal and opposite manner, thus they average out to the perfect universal form of the cube.

The Cube also Shapes Time

The material substance of the universe is just one part of the whole. In this observable realm the cube governs the earth element. But the cube is one of the universal building blocks and as such it’s influence permeates the whole of our reality. Consciousness is the counterpart to energy and what enlightens matter. In this realm the cube governs the perception of time.

I have previously spoken of time as units of measure based on cycles of the material earth moving through space and the energy that is generated by this movement. Time encompasses the immaterial as well as the material.  Thus, conscious beings perceive the passing of time as they move through space and experience life. This perception, or consciousness of time, adheres to the same unseen framework of the cube.

Full conscious presence in the moment; being perfectly universally balanced in perceiving the whole of what is occurring in a moment of time, takes the form of the cube.  Did you ever have the experience of time standing still? Or, have you ever had your whole life flash before your eyes in a matter of seconds? These are altered and expanded states of consciousness relative to time. Your conscious mind is perceiving a greater scope of the time matrix.

Do you understand the statement “all time is now”? The full view of all time can be perceived by consciously expanding beyond the time matrix which is governed by the cube form. Understanding this places a whole new meaning to “thinking outside the box”. And, in order to think outside the box, you must first understand what is within the box and the rules governing the box. The Dalai Lama said “learn the rules so you know how to break them properly.” Innovation comes from this kind of thinking and understanding of the workings of the universal forms.

The Disclosure Lens Reveals Life Mysteries

When viewing life from the perspective of the universal unfolding of time, the view of all time comes through the framework of the whole cube. If we dive into the workings of the cube we find that there are six different views of time. These correspond with the six sides of the cube. Each side provides a lens through which the whole can be viewed, simply from a different perspective.

One of these lenses is what I call the Disclosure Lens. And here we come to the place where life’s mysteries are disclosed. We all have equal access to this information, but you need to know where to look. The perspective here reveals the receptive structure and flow of energy and consciousness on a group level. (The reception of the individual and oneness levels is revealed through two other lenses)

Your experiences and life events throughout the whole of your life are in clear view through the Disclosure Lens. Also revealed here are the fields of your energy and consciousness along with the whole scope of your sensory perception. Most people tap into the disclosure of life through the senses; the outermost receptive part of who you are. Through the development of extra sensory perception and raising of consciousness, one’s capacity to perceive becomes clearer, like cleaning the lenses on your glasses.

We all have access to life’s mysteries, despite these teachings historically being taught in mystery schools to a select few. But the truth is, they are not hidden in some far off place, the answers to life’s mysteries reside just below the surface within the experience of life. For those who pay attention, sense deeply and allow their knowing to emerge .

My own 72 block, six year, training program of The Work brings these mystery school teachings into one month teaching blocks that awaken consciousness and enlighten energy as the teachings are revealed through the living experience of the student. Over the course of six years all the universals with their differing views are enlightened and awakened as the student actualizes their unique potential and restores universal balance to their lives.

Attract the life you want with your Magnetic Personality

Ever wonder why you seem to keep attracting certain types of people and experiences that don’t work for you and may even cause you pain. Or why that dream relationship with “the one” that you were drawn to with kismet certainty, didn’t turn out so dreamy? Do you wonder why you are unable to attract that perfect job where you enjoy your work and are appreciated. You may be taking all the right steps, asking all the right questions, approaching things in a reasonable and logical manner, yet nothing works.

The magnetic pulls towards and repulsions away from particular people, places and experiences are all being orchestrated by invisible, unconscious forces. Specifically magnetism; which is a part of the electromagnetic force, one of the fundamental forces of nature. Human nature, governed by the fundamental forces, is more powerful than your freewill intentions alone. But, if you attune your consciousness with these forces you are able to seize the powers of nature and utilize your free will to direct them.

Current studies are exploring the human capacity to sense magnetic fields and they are finding that some people actually do have this capacity. Do you have sensory awareness of magnetic fields? If not, you are not alone. Humanity is just scratching the surface in understanding this sensory ability. It is time we begin to pay attention, otherwise we will continue to be pulled this way and that by the unseen forces of nature, despite our best intentions.

WHAT IS A MAGNETIC PERSONALITY?

A person with a magnetic personality, according to the urban dictionary, is “a person with a sense of calm self-confidence and authenticity who others are drawn towards instinctively.”  We tend to think of this expression as a particular personality type rather than a state of being that anyone can achieve. Some people do seem to readily attract a large number of people and opportunities with ease. I would say this is a person with a strong magnetic field. But, the truth is that everyone is generating a magnetic field of which their personality is a part. Thus, everyone has a “magnetic” personality that is attracting and repelling people and experiences to and from their lives. It may be big and strong or small and weak but it is always magnetic, this is the nature of your personality.

EXPLORING THE MAGNETOSPHERE FOR DEEPER UNDERSTANDING

A human being’s personality is like a planet’s magnetosphere. A magnetosphere is the magnetic field that exists around the sun and most of the planets and stars in our solar system. A magnetic field is created by an electrical charge being in motion. Add more charge and more motion to create a bigger and stronger magnetic field.

The magnetic strength and size of a celestial body’s magnetosphere is variable depending on the charge and the motion. For instance, Jupiter has the strongest and biggest in our solar system, after the sun, with a width that is 15 times the width of the sun compared to the earth’s magnetic field which would fit inside the sun. And just like the celestial bodies, people’s magnetospheres are not created equal. It all depends upon the charged particles in motion residing in the core of the person.

If you are being authentically who you are then your personality will be a bright emanation of the light that is uniquely yours. Your electrically charged light emanates from within the core of your being creating the magnetic field of your personality, just as the electrically charged particle within the molten core of the earth creates the earth’s magnetic field. Your light is your life force and light energy is essentially electromagnetic radiation. Thus, the force you are working with when approaching your personality is the electromagnetic force.

CHARGE YOUR ESSENCE TO MAGNETIZE YOUR PERSONALITY

To view “who” you are, I go to the parts of the “Self”. Your “Self” is the group level expression of your light and your personality is the outermost part of this. The energy of the “Self” is light energy. It is formed as the inner light of your essence emanates through your inner soul structure.

The soul works like a crystal, as the light shines through, the light array that forms is variable based on the cut of the crystal. In the same way the design of your soul forms the light expression that is you. Each soul structure is configured differently and diffuses the light energy in a unique expression. This generates a specific magnetic field that will magnetize the perfect experiences for you to learn your soul lessons and evolve. All humans are naturally set on a path of evolution. This understanding provides the insight and perspective needed to optimally engage life.

Your light then emerges to the outer parts of who you are. The outer “Self” is constructed of your gifts, or natural abilities, and your personality. Your natural abilities are the outer emanation of your unique soul design. The light emerges from the inner parts of who you are and shines through your outer gifts to form your personality as the light reaches the outermost edges of who you are. Your personality is the front line for interacting with the world around you.

Strengthening the magnetic quality of your personality is a matter of increasing the charge in your core to supercharge your essence. This allows more light to reach the surface of who you are and emanate into the world. When you are expressing authentically it increases the electrical charge in your essence and expands your magnetic field. This is why people are attracted, or magnetized to you when you do this. Working with your “Self” to attract the life you want is utilizing your inherent magnetic quality with conscious choice. This allows you to shape your magnetosphere to attract the things you want and repel the things you don’t.

3 EASY STEPS TO SUPERCHARGE YOUR MAGNETIC PERSONALITY

The “how to” can be abbreviated to; receive yourself, express yourself and engage the life that you attract.

  1. Receive Yourself- All of You

Self confidence comes with self awareness and acceptance. This occurs when you know who you are in your core and you accept both your challenges and abilities. By receiving the depths of who you are, you create the opening to allow light to penetrate the core of your being, charging your life force.

  1. Express Yourself – Authentically

Your expression is the light that you are emanating into the group energy. If it is superficial then it will not hold much magnetic strength. But, if it is an authentic expression, coming from the core of your being, it will be sourced from your supercharged core, generating a big and strong magnetic field.

  1. Engage the Life that you Attract

As you attract (magnetize) people and experiences to you it is important to seize the opportunities that are present. This increases your magnetism to attract more of these types of experiences. Also, notice the things you are attracting that you don’t want and make a conscious choice to repel them, never engage them. Doing this will reverse the spin in motion and utilize the magnetic power of repulsion. Remember there is a perfect reflection in what is coming to you. What you attract mirrors your unconscious state of being; it is a direct result of what you are magnetizing, either consciously or unconsciously. Paying attention allows you to choose the things that you attract and the ones that you repel.

Receive who you are and allow the light to penetrate your core, increasing the charge in your essence. Express authentically from the core of your being, allowing your light to shine in the world. And, engage the life you attract with your whole being, to evolve and expand your magnetic personality.

The Cyclical Nature of Life and Repeating Patterns

The global pandemic created an explosion within the unified field of human consciousness requiring us to expand our consciousness and change our ways. Are you settling into your new normal with ease? The duration of the pandemic has filled a complete year cycle which has changed the energetic framework of life within humanity significantly. While some of these changes are obvious as the physical functioning of life shifts, many reside on the unseen subtler levels.

The impact of this is such that it may feel jarring to you as you re engage your pre pandemic activities. You may find that they feel different or you feel different. You may not even be able to put your finger on what is different. It can be helpful to approach your activities and relationships as if you are engaging them for the first time. Begin each day with the curiosity and wonder you would typically bring to any new adventure. Stay open to the discovery of new insights and perspectives that are now available to you in the expanded consciousness of the new normal. And, please be gentle with yourself and others as we rebuild our lives together.

THE LIFE CYCLE

Life is cyclical in nature. Each life exists for a limited interval within the time-space continuum and it follows the predictable sequence through the four phases of birth, growth, senescence and death. This represents one whole life cycle and it is hardwired within the framework of our reality. As hard as humans have tried to break free from this natural succession of events, the keys to immortality do not provide an escape from the inevitable physical cycling of life or the impending death of the physical body. This is why it is so important to make the most of the time and space you occupy.

Understanding the cyclical nature of life will provide the insights you need to optimize your life cycle from a holistic perspective. There are a multitude of cycles influencing the change occurring within you and generating the flow of your life. I will be touching upon just a few that generate constitutional constructs laying the framework of our existence. I will then discuss some of the repeating patterns that regularly appear within this framework.

THE YEAR CYCLE AND EARTH’S ORBIT

A major or constitutional change in your life will take a full year to process and integrate energetically. This can be a move, job change, new relationship or significant loss. The reason it takes a year is because that is the duration to journey through the cycle generating the constitutional building blocks framing your life as a whole.

It doesn’t mean that you will necessarily be resolved and emotionally at peace with the change after a year. The mental, emotional and physical vibrational levels are often slower to shift. It does however mean that you will have completed one full cycle of processing and the change will be energetically integrated into the constitution of your life. This process is inevitable and it cannot be completed any sooner. It is a universal part of the human experience here on earth.

The year cycle and the energetic structuring of your life are generated by the earth’s orbit. It is in this cycling, around the sun, that the group environment is established with the constitutional constructs that set the parameters for our existence. Each revolution provides an opportunity to repeat the status quo or to rebuild, restructure and redirect the flow of energy in your life.  Energy in motion will stay in motion on the same path unless effort is applied to redirect it and each cycle will expand the power of repetitive choices, even if the choice is made by defaulting to the status quo. A good reason to consciously choose the course of your life each year.

In working with the research and development of new energy protocols this greater force, of the earth’s rotation around the sun, was utilized. Each research loop ran for a full year, 24/7. This allowed for the energy protocols to be woven into the fabric of our reality as it is being generated by this journey. For the participants, templates of balance were woven through the constitutional framework of their lives. The structure was set in place to become a part of each year cycle to direct the flow of energy towards greater balance. This is strengthened and reinforced each time the earth orbits.

A FEW OTHER NOTEWORTHY CYCLES OF CELESTIAL BODIES

The year cycle is just one of many cycles influencing the creation of life on earth. The galactic year cycle is one rotation of our sun and planets around the black hole Sagittarius A residing at the center of the milky way galaxy. Our solar system takes about 225-250 million years to revolve once around the galaxy’s center. The position we find ourselves on this journey is just a blip in the time of one cycle. yet it holds our existence in place and provides the potential from which we draw to create.

Coming back to our solar system, looking within this to our earth environment, there is the moon cycle, roughly one month in duration. This cycle generates its own energy constructs within the whole life framework being created by the earth’s journey around the sun. The moon cycle’s  influences are easy to identify in its effects on the tides, menstrual cycles, sleep and people’s moods. The other planets in our solar system also orbit creating energy movement that influences the earth as well. This is highlighted in the study of astronomy and astrology.

The day cycle, which is generated by the earth’s rotation on its own axis, is what produces an individual organism’s constitutional constructs. Your circadian rhythm is your connection to this cycling. Over the course of each day you move through the energetic building blocks that constitute your life. This is the roadmap underlying the 24 HR Attunement.  Following the 24 HR Attunement, there is a transformational period over the course of one moon cycle where change can be felt as the attunement balancing integrates into your life. The energy then flows into the year cycle where it is fully assimilated into the framework of your whole life.

ENERGY CYCLES AND THE QUADRATIC NATURE/NURTURE OF LIFE

There are a multitude of energy cycles occurring simultaneously that are influencing life on earth. We can look at another energy cycling created by the earth’s relationship to the sun. There is a flow of energy coming from the sun that is the driver of many earth system processes. It heats up the atmosphere, hydrosphere and the land surface of the geosphere, and it fuels processes in the biosphere. The absorption of energy sets the atmosphere and oceans in motion redistributing energy throughout the environment. This flow of energy from the sun, through the environment and back into space is what defines earth’s climate.

Your human systems are similarly effected by engagement with the energy of the world as it passes through your body, heart, mind and spirit. This energy, in the form of food, water, sunshine, human touch, learning experiences….is absorbed into your systems. It then redistributes the energy within you, the environment of your living being, and is released back into the world. The four systems hold the quadratic patterning that is repetitively generating human life. All the “Life Components”, the universal building blocks, existing in space, are quadratic in nature.

Diving into the flow of these cycles we find that life dynamics are quadratic in time as well. We see this in the four phases evident in the life cycle as well as other creation cycles. This repeating pattern is found in the year cycle as it produces the four phases or seasons; spring, summer, autumn and winter. This is the result of the creation process between the earth and the sun. This repeating pattern occurs in human beings as seen in the female menstruation cycle going through it’s four phases; menstruation, the follicular phase, ovulation and the luteal phase. These quadratic phases are evident in world systems as well, not just the planets and organisms living on earth. We see this in the economic cycle as it moves through the expansion, peak, contraction, and trough phases.

REPEATING ENERGY PATTERNS FOR NATURAL EFFICIENCY

Energy in motion generated by the cycles within the time-space continuum often flows in distinct repetitive patterns for a natural efficiency and to maximize the environment present. These ordered, regular patterns seem to simply emerge from the chaotic complexity of moving energy within life. Understanding them allows you to utilize the predictable patterned flow to direct the evolution of your life. I will now briefly touch upon some of the common patterns we see emerging from the chaos of potential that you can find in your day to day life. Expounding on a few key areas to give you and idea of how foundational these are to our lives and to the craft of energy work.

There is the packing pattern which can be found in the packing of atomic particles or grape clusters. The branching pattern which is seen in lightning, tree limbs, or the branching of the human circulatory system. This pattern distributes nutrients in the most efficient way from the core to all the other parts. The explosion pattern can be found in ice crystals and flower petals. The rapid expansion or bursting forth of energy in this pattern can also look like an outburst of anger, urban development or the spontaneous creation of a work of art. It is the pattern of energy when you have an ah-ha moment or a sudden awakening into a higher level of consciousness.

The meander pattern can be found in the curves and turns within the channel of a waterway or in the contours of sand dunes and brain corals. It is also evident in behavior patterns, mood and work performance over the course of the day. In my work, one place this pattern shows up is in the energy field of multi-generational family structures. Many patterns are passed down to the next generation while others are bigenerational. In the ancient world the meander pattern symbolized the flow of human life or eternity achieved through reproduction. I think they were onto something.

The spiral pattern is my favorite. It can be seen in the shape of galaxies, hurricanes and bacteria. Spirals allow for larger amounts to be consolidated into a smaller area. This can be seen in the spiral of the Nautilus’ maximizing the use of its protective shell or the sunflower maximizing the number of seeds that can be stuffed into a single sunflower. These particular spirals have fibonacci, also called “divine”, proportions. The double helix of a human DNA molecule, containing the program of life, does as well. This spiral is called the “golden spiral” and it has a growth factor of phi, the golden ratio. This is key to the understanding of growth patterns and the universal functioning of time within space.

The spiral pattern shows up often when I am working with people’s energy fields. The spiral is the shape that the energy of anxiety takes. In viewing an anxious person’s energy they will often have a spiral of energy pulling them up and out of their body core. It is a creative energy flow moving in an unproductive manner, usually prompted by fear. The spiral pattern is also evident in the repeating cycles of behavior and experiences. For instance, when you feel like you are “in a rut” or are questioning “how did I end up here, AGAIN?” you are in a spiral. The movement of energy through a spiral pattern is either expanding outward encompassing more space with each cycle, as in the progression of a disease, or contracting inward towards the point. The healing of a wound or trauma follows this pattern as one moves incrementally closer to the balance point.

Pay attention to the cycles and patterns occurring within you. Notice how the constitutional constructs of your life are generated by the natural cycles of energy moving within the time-space continuum. Try to identify the universal patterns emerging from the chaotic potential and appearing in the world around you. Raise your consciousness of these natural cycles and patterns to achieve greater balance as you navigate the constant change and unknown of life unfolding.

Where does Intuition come from? Opening to Unconscious Cognition

Intuition is a natural part of being human. It is a universal human attribute, yet there is a vast range in how much each person pays attention to intuition or utilizes intuitive information to navigate life. For myself, being an “intuitive” is simply a matter of being hypersensitive and paying close attention to the information coming in. Learning to discern and utilize this information is a skill that anyone can develop.

Intuition provides the bridge to your Non-Conscious Mind

In our western culture analytical thinking and logic, left brain hemisphere centered activities, are more highly valued than intuition. These left hemisphere mental abilities reside in the conscious part of you which makes up only about 5% of your consciousness as a whole. The conscious part of you is the part that relates to the world and interprets your experiences. In our culture left brain conscious cognitive functioning is prioritized. That leaves 95% of your consciousness and most of the information governing your functioning, outside of conscious range. So how do you get to this valuable information? Intuition is the key. It provides the bridge between the conscious and the non conscious parts of you. It furnishes you with the ability to know things without analytic reasoning.

Where does Intuition come from?

Intuition comes from within you, specifically your systems; your body, heart, mind and spirit. As you engage life your systems are constantly receiving, processing and responding to the energy of life. Most of this occurs without your conscious awareness. Raising consciousness is simply a matter of tuning in to more of the information you are walking around with everyday. All of the systems work together, interdependently, receiving energy on a physical, emotional, mental and energetic level. There is a massive amount of information coming in each moment through all the different senses and receptor channels.

Cognitive Functioning occurs both Consciously and Unconsciously

Cognition is the mental process of acquiring knowledge and understanding through thought, experience and the senses. Your mind system governs your cognitive functioning. Only a small percent of the information is highlighted to form your conscious mind while the vast majority of this information and the functioning of your systems occurs unconsciously. The cognitive functions of the mind include attention, memory, perception, learning, problem solving, language and decision making.

Unconscious cognition is the performance of these functions and the processing of energy without you being aware of it. To give an example of this; within the body systems, many of your basic needs such as breathing, digesting and making memories is handled by your unconscious cognition. Greater awareness, consciousness, of the information being generated is available through your intuitive channels.

Where are the Intuitive Channels to your Unconscious Cognition?

There are intuitive channels within all of your systems; body, heart, mind and spirit. I will touch on this by talking about the body systems which are the easiest to relate to. Within your physical body and brain specifically, intuition centers in the right hemisphere. In the brain your intuitive awareness, in the right hemisphere communicates with your cognition in the left hemisphere and becomes a part of your conscious mind. The body as a whole though, is full of neural pathways with receptors (Receptors are biological transducers that convert energy from both external and internal environments into electrical impulses.) which are taking in and interpreting information.

I will give you a few examples of where you can connect with these neural pathways. Your heart and gut each contain their own neural network, similar to the brain. Your gut network provides an intuitive channel to that “gut feeling” about the physical world and life situations. It is particularly good at warning you about danger.  Whereas, your heart network provides you with an intuitive channel into the meaning of emotional input and life events. This may be experienced as a strong pull towards one thing and a recoiling from another. And finally, the sensory organs are chock full of receptors providing you access to perceive and engage the world around you. Each of your senses provides you with a distinct intuitive channel. This is why intuition is often referred to as the 6th sense, ESP or extra ”sensory” perception because it is most commonly understood as it is expressed through an individual with a heightened sense perception.

Different Types of Intuitive Channels

Human beings are intricate and complex in the reception of life and as such intuition takes many forms. When a sense or other receptor is hypersensitive and highly developed it provides a clear channel to the information coming through those particular neural receptors. The key being it is a “clear” channel. To give a few examples of commonly known types; there is clairvoyance (‘clear seeing’), clairaudience (‘clear hearing’), clairalience (‘clear smelling’), clairgustance (‘clear tasting’) and clairsentience (‘clear feeling’) and claircognizance (‘clear cognition’). These intuitive abilities represent an extra-ordinary, beyond the typical range, capability. Intuition is really not all that mysterious when you break it down.

Opening to your Unconscious Cognition

  1. Stop Dismissing Your Intuition and Practice Paying Attention

First, you must stop dismissing your intuitive awareness, even if you do not act upon it. Pay attention to those gut feelings, strong emotions when around certain people, inspired thoughts and ideas that seem to come from nowhere,  synchronicities or vivid dreams. Notice the things that pull you, particularly if they seem illogical. Simply make a mental note and approach the experience with curiosity.

Observe your intuitive awareness and pay attention to when the information proves to be accurate. Ask yourself: How did you receive the information? Was it a vision or dream, something you heard, a gut feeling …? And, how did you feel when it came? Over time you will learn how your human instrument (body, heart, mind and spirit systems integrated into one whole being) works and how you personally access your intuition. You will learn to trust yourself and be able to utilize this information to inform your choices in life.

  1. Prepare Your Vessel and Create the Time & Space

Preparing your vessel is essentially clearing out the clutter and distractions to create the room for intuitive awareness to come in. Basic health hygiene plays a role. When you have adequate sleep, nutrition and hydration your body is a clearer channel. The same is true of a healthy heart, mind and spirit.

Create the time and space to open to your intuitive awareness. Be still, quiet and present. You can meditate or focus on your breath as you clear your mind and heart of distractions. And then just open, allow and notice without challenging what comes, trying to figure out what it means or judging it. Be patient, it takes time and practice just like any new skill you learn.

  1. Know Yourself and Know Your Filter to Exercise Discernment

Self awareness is key. Individuals tend to have more clarity in receiving information through particular intuitive channels, than others. The same is true regarding different domains of experience. You may be spot on intuiting in one area of life while others are not within reach. It is important to know these things as you begin to utilize intuitive information to navigate life. Always begin with your clearest channel and domain of experience when integrating this information into your decision making.

Know where your “stuff” is. This can be conditioned beliefs or prejudices that are limiting(not universal), wounding or unresolved issues. Your “stuff” will block or distort your access to clear intuition. Just as it is important to know when you are likely receiving clear information it is equally important to know when you are likely not because you have “stuff” in the way. The only course of action here is to address your issues and blocks to begin to clear out the channels.

Exercising Your Intuitive Muscles

Once you have a foundation in place of opening to your unconscious cognition, proceed with the following exercises to extricate more intuitive information.

  1. Ask Questions

Start in a quiet, still place and then pose a question to which you desire the answer. The key here is patience and the willingness to accept that an answer may not come. Wait for the answer. Don’t “think” about it or try to figure it out. Intuition is received, it is not found. Become an empty vessel with the curiosity of a child. Remember, it’s okay if you don’t get an answer, don’t give up, it can take time to develop the ability to listen within. Pay attention to what does come, even if it seems unrelated, just make a mental note of it.

A truly clear answer will have some form of visceral response attached to it. This can be a body sensation, an emotional surge, a sudden clear view of the situation or an unshakable sense of knowing. These will be the exception rather than the rule in approaching this exercise. This is why it is important not to dismiss the seemingly unrelated information(visions, thoughts, sensation…) that comes before a clear answer does. The key is to keep the energy channel open, the energy flow generated by your curiosity and your focus on receiving the answer.

  1. Open to a Free Flow Stream of Consciousness

A stream of consciousness is opened when you allow a flow of energy to move through you and take the form it chooses, rather than you imposing form upon it. This can be done in a variety of ways. Some suggestions you can try are writing, speaking, singing, playing an instrument or drawing. Give yourself a half an hour to write, speak, draw… whatever moves through you. Just begin, don’t wait for inspiration to sing, dance, write… anything. Give yourself (your conscious mind specifically) over to allowing the unconscious parts of you to express.

Don’t stop to think, analyze or reflect upon what is occurring. Just keep going with whatever is coming through and allow the energy flow of your unconscious awareness to take form for a half an hour. I suggest doing this at least once a week as it stimulates the flow between the conscious and unconscious parts of you.

  1. Keep a Sensory Journal

Pick a time, or a few, throughout the day and set an alarm. When the alarm goes off take a few minutes to open and observe what you are sensing through your seven basic senses; tactile(touch), gustatory(taste), olfactory(smell), auditory(hear), vision(see), vestibular(movement) and proprioception(position). Keep a record of your observations. Your focus ought to remain on what you are sensing, drawing conclusions from this information comes later. This is a time to open to your body’s sensory awareness.

Once a week, read through your sensory journal allowing for clarity to emerge. Notice your sensory response to reading your journal. Don’t analyze the information, just feel it and let it go. Sometimes intuitive awareness will become conscious during this part of the exercise, but not always. Sometimes it will simply stimulate your intuitive receptors and the intuitive awareness will emerge at later time, often when you are not thinking about it.

Holistic Time Management: How to Navigate the Force of Time

This piece is introducing concepts about the nature of time that I have researched and tested with hundreds of people. The purpose here is to simply introduce the information and not to get into a lengthy explanation. If you have questions please ask, come see me for a one on one session or consider training to learn more.

What is time? We keep track of it with clocks and calendars, but what are we really measuring? We see evidence of time passing, by observing the change that occurs. We live in a constant state of change as the force of time exerts its steady influence. This change can look like circular movement through space; the earth rotating on its axis is what we call a day, the moon orbiting the earth is roughly our month cycle and the earth orbiting the sun, our year cycle.

Time and Space are interconnected, interdependent and inverse in relationship. Time is not commonly understood beyond the unidirectional flow of matter moving from the past to the future while always remaining in the present. This dimension is considered the fourth dimension and here stops the present day common understanding. In my experience and research, I have found that time and space are equal in measure, each occupying three dimensions.

Time and space are also opposite in direction. If we look at our day, month and year cycles we find the earth’s rotation on its own axis, the moon’s rotation around the earth and the earth’s rotation around the sun all move through three dimensional space in a counter clockwise direction. This cyclical movement is met with a three dimensional flow of time in the clockwise direction. At the meeting place is where creation occurs.

Time and space come together and propagate the fabric (time/space continuum) of our reality; the perpetual here and now of life. This creation process is similar to the human procreation process and the perpetual unfolding of humanity through the generations. Our lives are dependent upon both time and space just as the procreation of humanity is dependent upon both males and females.

It is hard to talk about one without talking about the other. The emergence of both time and space, began 13.7 billion years ago with the Big Bang and time has been constantly unfolding since. Our individual lives emerge for but a brief blip in the scope of time. A human life is an embodied expression within space meeting the invisible force of time in equal measure which is received through the experience of living.

Reality occurs in the present moment at the intersection of time and space.  Time always moves us away from the past and towards the future. Both exert influence on the present, yet, we can never be in the past or future. We can only experience these in our consciousness as residual memories of what has passed or projections about what is to come. It is only in the present moment that we have access and it is here that we must navigate the force of time. A first and essential step to gaining proficiency with time is presence in the moment.

To deepen our view into the complexities of time and how this force influences the unfolding of life, we need look no further than the 24 hours of the solar day. Over the course of each earth rotation we gain access to the 24 components of life. Our holistic reception of life and the influence of time occurs within a 3 dimensional field with quadratic functionality forming our experience of time in 24 intersecting streams of energy.

On a body level, the meeting point of time and space happens in the DNA. Our basic nature exists in space coded in our genes. These genes exist within 23 visible chromosomes within the cells. There is a 24th chromosome which is the purely energetic spark of life and our connection to our source of life. Each of the 24 chromosomes is nurtured by time, activating a stream of energy as the earth completes a full cycle/rotation on its axis every 24 hours.

These 24 distinct streams of energy converge to actualize an individual’s life within the time/space continuum. Working with this level of energy is working with energetic genetics, the underlying blueprint to an individual’s life. The place to start in gaining access to this level comes through attuning one’s circadian rhythm.

We each have an internal clock to regulate this complex six dimensional flow of energy, the circadian clock. This regulates the rhythm of the day cycle as one’s innate nature meets the nurture of time unfolding in the cyclical movement of the spinning planet we call home. This is our circadian rhythm, which regulates the body and other systems processes through each day.

Balanced presence in the day cycle is the second step in navigating the force of time. Working with this cycle on an energy level, gives access to the 24 Life Components, all the building blocks constructing one’s life. This is the basis of the monthly 24 HR Attunements where each component is fine tuned. Your natural rhythm in life is aligned with the current environment to attract the nurturing that will serve to actualize your unique potential.

The Power of Human Consciousness – The Observer Effect

Quantum consciousness

Human consciousness functions at a quantum level. Thus, to perceive the operations and underlying principles governing how consciousness works we must view it at a quantum level. In the present time, the dark ages in regards to understanding consciousness, our best clues into the mechanics of consciousness reside in the quantum world.

When we examine the quantum level we find that objects can apparently be in two places at once, this is called a superposition. In the same way, our quantum consciousness is capable of having two mutually exclusive ideas at the same time, or two incongruous feelings about a situation in life, or conflicting pulls in two opposite directions. For movement towards manifesting one idea, acting on one feeling or choosing one direction to proceed and not the others, it requires us to place our conscious focus on that idea, feeling or direction.

It all begins with observation and the shift of focus to one path. Observation is one of the powers of our quantum consciousness. It may not seem very powerful, in our american bravado culture, to simply observe until you begin to realize the effect it has on your reality. In the highly controversial quest of understanding quantum mechanics and human consciousness I am obviously in the camp of researchers, like the physicist Henry Stapp who believe that the conscious observer plays an essential role in understanding the nature of reality.

Double slit experiment

The famous ”double-slit experiment” proved the particle-wave dualistic nature of light. It also raised the question of what influence human consciousness plays in the quantum world. It brought to light the “observer-effect” and demonstrated how even passive observation of quantum phenomena can change the measured result. If you are unfamiliar with this experiment I suggest you read about it.

In short, imagine shining a beam of light at a screen that contains two closely-spaced parallel slits. Some of the light passes through the slits and strikes another screen. One might expect that each particle would pass through one slit or the other, forming two parallel bars of light on the second screen but that is not at all what happens. What does happen is that the particles go to certain parts of the screen forming alternating bands of light and dark. This is created by two sets of waves overlapping in constructive and destructive interference with each other, creating the light and dark bands respectively. It is as if each particle goes through both slits at the same time and interferes with itself.

The interesting part of the experiment comes when you add an observer. If a detector is placed by the slits to determine which one a particle is passing through, the wave function collapses and the interference pattern disappears. What you see on the screen is what you would expect, two parallel bars of light. The mere act of observing, of measuring, takes the particle out of the quantum realm and determines its destination.

The physicist Pascual Jordan, in the 1920s, put it like this: “observations not only disturb what has to be measured, they produce it… ” When we relate this phenomena to the unfolding of our lives, the slits can be compared to the meeting points and openings between our consciousness and our energy. When we observe this we are able to exert influence over the measured outcome of our lives.

Why does mindfulness work?

In short, it works because of the observer effect. Going through life distracted, unaware or too disempowered to make a choice creates a haze like the “interference pattern” created in the double slit experiment. All of your conflicting impulses, beliefs, feelings and choices create a cross product influence on the energy of your life. This forms your reality. It can feel like walking through a whiteout snowstorm if you do not exercise your power of observation, allowing other possibilities to collapse. But, when you do utilize observation and consciously choose, it is as if all the scattered snowflakes in the air fall to the ground forming a giant snowball rolling in front of you removing the obstacles in your way.

Ways to Apply the Observer Effect

…with YourSelf

Presence

Observe the present moment. Being fully present for life each moment is how one experiences fulfillment. Observe the activity within you and around you. Bring your whole being, your physicality, your emotions, your thoughts and your energy to what is occurring right here, right now. Release distractions pulling you into the past, the future, being in another place or with other people. The ultimate experience of this is being in “The Flow” where all the different parts of the moment merge into one fluid experience that transcends time.

Mindfulness

Develop the observer part of self and the ability to hold an objective view of your subjective experience. Observe the sensations in your body and what is stimulating those sensations. Are they coming from within or are you responding to your environment. Observe the emotions you are feeling and what is triggering them. Do the same with your thoughts. Observe your patterns of behavior, emotional responses and beliefs. Make note of where they serve you and where they do not. Observe the flow of your energy. Where do you expend your energy? What activities, experiences and relationships energize you? Developing mindfulness is essential to taking charge of your life. Find the activities, practices or tools that help you to develop this skill.

Conscious Choice

Observe the different thoughts, feelings and impulses pulling you in different directions and make a choice. Observe the choice you want. Remember consciousness operates on a quantum level, different possibilities all come into play and create a pattern of interference. The way to clear the interference to your goals in life is to “keep your eye on the prize” so to speak.  This alone will collapse the unwanted possibilities from coming into being. Much of what we create in life is the result of unconscious choice. By raising consciousness and practicing the skill of observation, you will become empowered to create the life you want.

…in Relationship

Really SEE people

Observe the people you encounter and give them your full attention. It is the greatest gift you can give another. Observe their body language, what is it showing you? Really listen to their thoughts and feelings, objectively without negative judgment. Notice the energy they are sending your way and  open fully to receiving it. If what is being directed towards you is negative then hold your boundaries. Really seeing people puts you in an empowered position to fully take in the relationship potential that is available to meet your needs and it will keep you safe.

Be Accountable

It has been proven that people behave differently when they know they are being observed, this is the observer effect at work. Use this fact and the people in your life to support the changes you want to make. Partner with someone wishing to make the same changes, for instance working out with a buddy. Or, find someone who knows your objectives and be accountable to them as you take steps towards those goals. Simply allowing yourself to be observed by another who is in support of your well being will have a positive influence in your life.

Sence with your body, heart, mind and spirit

Observe the energy exchange between you and others. Utilize the power of observation to notice what is being given and what is being received. Pay attention to the impact an exchange has on each of you. Sense with your body, heart, mind and spirit to perceive the impact on these individual systems. A balanced exchange is one that is open, creative, flowing and equalized. Keep your focus on observing these types of relationship exchanges in particular. Observing these will allow the full benefit of these experiences to come into being and it will attract more of the same.

…to achieve Universal Balance

Working with the Universal Forms

Observing the energy of any person, thing or situation relative to the universal forms (the 5 platonic solids and the sphere) will provide a clear view of the reality of what is being observed. The universal forms are the models of perfect balance and they provide measurement of how balanced or imbalanced something is. They exist at the meeting point of energy and consciousness and they provide the mainframe design of the reality in which we live.  The universal forms are the most powerful tools we have at our disposal for using the observer-effect to create change in our lives.

The Seeds of Nurture – Plato got one piece wrong!

The What and Where of the Universal Forms.

I have not studied Plato nor his teachings, yet I feel a deep kindred spirit with him nonetheless. During my own research seeking the most fundamental building blocks within life, I arrived at the same place as Plato; I arrived at the platonic solids, the universal forms.

I will never forget the deep inner (shamanic)  journey when I first connected with the Cube. It was a multisensory experience with an inner vision of a breathtaking glowing cube that accompanied the unshakeable knowing that this was my life’s work. It was such a powerful experience that I proceeded to tell people the great news. This was quite out of character for me but I simply could not contain the powerful force I had opened within me.

This force would propel me into human research learning how to put these universal forms into practice. It took six years to make my way through the cube, the form of time. This form governs the earth element which produces the force of nurture. At the completion of my inward moving journey through time, I emerged in view of all the universal forms. It would take another four years to complete my first pass through them all, just scratching the surface in understanding the wisdom contained within.

What are the universal forms?

They are the most fundamental building blocks constructing reality and providing the ideal blueprint of perfect balance. The universal forms provide the structure and shape of the universe and they govern the unfolding of life. They are the constants within our continually changing world. This knowledge has been around for 1000’s of years, and it continues to draw people’s attention despite the scientific community dropping the ball with this valuable information.

Scientific study seeks to investigate and understand the natural world. From Plato’s time to the present scientists have focused on energy, the medium of nature, in its differing states from the density of matter to the highest vibrations that can be measured. Plato himself attributed the universal forms to nature and this is not inherently wrong as the forms are evidenced here, but it is only half the picture.

The forms are holistic and to truly understand them requires a view of the whole. The counterpart to nature is nurture, and the medium of nurture is consciousness. The universal forms encompass both nature and nurture and are evidenced in both. They govern the dynamic interplay between energy and consciousness, the media of life. Scientific study abandoned the universals to explore the particulars of energy. It has failed to incorporate the influence of consciousness.

Energy and consciousness have a dualistic dynamic that can be understood through the Yin-Yang principle. A holistic view, where the universals exist, encompasses both energy and consciousness in the interchange and interplay of these two media. Our universe is built on these types of dualities. Other examples of competing and complementary forces include dark and light, male and female, night and day. They are not static nor mutually exclusive, life depends on both.

Energy being the substance of nature, it forms the outer expression, or yang of life. Consciousness being the substance of nurture, it forms the reception, or yin, of life. Both are essential for life to exist. Thus, the study of one alone will not provide a full view of the workings of life. The keys to understanding this dualistic relationship lie in the universals and these hold the form of the platonic solids. The platonic solids are sometimes referred to as the Seeds of Nature, but they are equally applicable as the Seeds of Nurture. It is only through the study of consciousness, in equal measure to the study of energy, and the interplay between the two that the universal forms and the unified field will be understood.

Where are the universal forms?

The universals can be found encompassing the whole of life, as well as within the space between the dualistic parts. In the context I am speaking they can be accessed at the meeting point of energy and consciousness. This can be approached from the perspective of observing the energy of consciousness or from the other direction, observing the consciousness of energy.

The forces of nature and nurture are directional. The force of nature moves energy outward while the force of nurture moves consciousness inward. It is precisely at this edge of the inner and outer parts of existence that anyone can connect with the universal forms. The universals construct the “veil”, as it is often referenced. This exists at the crossing point between the inner and the outer realms. Piercing the veil occurs when one connects with a universal view. This same access, to this view, can be found within any of life’s fundamental dualities.

This can be taken a step further. Working with the universal forms in an applied way can effect change in both directions. The universal forms open the flow of source energies and they are the tools of our free will. They govern the influence of energy on consciousness and consciousness on energy. Thus, they can be applied in a medicinal way to restore balance in both. It is the latter influence that I will discuss next month in looking at the power of human consciousness and the observer effect. Mastering the observer within oneself is the way to exercise the power of free will and to consciously create in life.

It’s Time to Get Right with Each Other

Stand, Expand and Understand

Here in the United States we are experiencing health, economic and societal crises that are revealing inequities, breeding conflict and building divisiveness. We must unite to overcome the challenges that we are facing. But how do we do this? By taking responsibility to get right with ourselves, the people in our lives and our understanding of unity. Following are three lists of bullet points addressing ways you can restore unity within yourself, with others and with the greater collective.

Get right with Yourself – know where you stand and stand up

If you are not okay with yourself, it’s going to be near impossible to be okay with anyone else, so start here.

  • Get clear about what you stand for by employing critical thinking to evaluate your positions.
  • Gather information, assess if you need more, then interpret the meaning for you. How does it apply to your life?
  • Base your positions on facts that align with your core values.
  • Work towards an exposition that can withstand questioning from different points of view.
  • Keep an open mind and regulate your thinking by expanding to incorporate new information.
  • Problem-solve to resolve conflicting data and continue to evolve.
  • Root into your core values, embody them and live by them.
  • Be willing to stand up for what you believe and value in life.

Get right with the people in your life – expand your point of view

The only way to unify a large group of people, like the United States as a whole, is for each of us to unify with the people in our own lives.

  • Prioritize people and relationships over ideas and opinions.
  • Let go of the need to be right. Keep your ego in check, agree to disagree and preserve your connection. .
  • Be open to different perspectives to expand and enrich your own viewpoint.
  • Seek to learn something from everyone and tell them. Everyone can benefit from affirmation and it will deepen your relationship.
  • Ask yourself, “how are we alike?” to find your common bonds.
  • Transform the “us versus them”, divisive wall, to “we are in this together”.
  • Be on guard for your own bias, prejudice or intolerance and self correct to remove negative judgment of others.
  • Maintain a willingness to work through differences with consideration and respect for all involved.

Get right with all – open to understand unity

In my experience of working with groups, I have found that people tend to abandon concern for the greater good when their personal fears are triggered. This is a time to be courageous and committed to unity.

  • We are all fundamentally the same – NEVER FORGET THIS!
  • View differences with perspective of how small they are in the bigger scheme of things. Remember we all share about 99.5% of our DNA.
  • Fear is at the root of all divisiveness. Never speak or make decisions from a fearful state.
  • Manage your fight-flight-freeze response. Only act when you can access your reasoned brain.
  • Be inclusive in your thinking, recognize ALL humans as equal.
  • Be authentic, share who you are and your experiences freely.
  • Have the courage to contribute to common goals for the greater good, we each have a part to play.
  • Learn about universals and seek universal balance. It will open you to unity, the place where we are one.

CONTENTMENT: How to keep your Heart healthy during a global pandemic.

“He who is not contented with what he has, would not be contented with what he would like to have.”― Socrates

Your heart strings are probably being pulled in many directions these days if you are listening to the news, talking to family and friends, or basically aware of what is occurring in the world. Contentment would be near impossible to attain if you were to look externally for a sense of stillness and peace. So how do you keep your heart healthy and balanced in the face of so much conflict and tragedy?

First, you turn your attention inward to find contentment. Contentment is an internal emotional state of acceptance of your present reality, who and where you are at ANY given moment. It has little to do with external circumstances or acquisitions. Contentment radiates from the stillness of a peaceful heart, it cannot be attained by attempting to control your externals.

Here in the U.S. we live in a “more, more, more” culture where we have been encouraged to find relief or at least a change in what we are feeling by reaching for something outside of ourselves, discontentment has been propagated by the market. This has led to emotional imbalances for those caught in this unfulfilling chase.

Now we are in multiple crises and there are many reality based reasons to feel emotions other than contentment. It can be difficult to be available to process the depth of these emotions though, if you are conditioned to seek emotional “relief” from “normal” life by looking outside yourself. The emotional maturity, stamina and fortitude needed to maintain a healthy heart system in the present time demands you look within. The still, present state of contentment is exactly where you want to be to get through the crises in the healthiest way possible.

The general benefits of residing in the place of contentment, generated from the hum of healthy heart, are many. It allows you to have access to your passions and purpose in life. It allows you to be emotionally available to feel the full emotional range in each moment without getting stuck on any particular emotion. And, it keeps your body and mind free of the burden of unprocessed emotions clogging these other systems and manifesting into illness, just to name a few of the benefits.

There are a vast range of emotions that emotionally healthy people experience. Contentment though, is the emotional center point and constant from which all the other emotions ought to emerge, but never take over. It is the still point within the movement of the rest of the emotional range, both positive and negative.  Presence in your heart allows you to feel life fully.

If we are to apply a numerical value scale to this range, the following chart (below) I found on Mark Alan Fish’s blog exemplifies it perfectly. He positions contentment at the place value zero. Zero represents the stillness and void from which all potential emerges. It is not empty in the way you might think, as it contains the untapped potential.

Contentment exists in the absence of emotional reactivity and it creates the space for you to experience the full range of emotional responses. The difference between a reaction and a response in this context is that an emotional response will be felt without losing connection with the stillness in your heart. In contrast to a reaction where the connection is lost. An emotional reaction is like you are taking a rollercoaster ride of emotion that just needs to run its course before you can put your feet back on the ground and access the stillness again.

Coming back to the emotion scale, with contentment at zero, the scale then divides the emotions into three positive and three negative groups of emotions increasing in number as the intensity level increases. A feeling response doesn’t necessarily equate with action. But with contentment as your base you can make a conscious choice of action rather than take the roller coaster ride of a reactive impulse.

For a healthy heart, your emotional goal is to maintain connection with the stillness within your center where contentment resides, no matter what other emotions you may be feeling in the moment. Fostering contentment is preventative medicine for your heart. It will lower your stress, increase your health and well being and get you through the pandemic in good emotional health.

4 Keys to Finding Contentment during a Global Pandemic

Assess where you are relative to where YOU have been and where YOU would like to be – NOT where other people are

Comparing yourself to others is time and energy spent with no return or gain. It will create a barrier to connection and the experience of contentment. Resist the urge, even if everyone around you is doing it, just pay attention to how this behavior makes them feel. We all have our own unique journey with the interplay of nature and nurture influencing us as we evolve. A more productive focus is on your own evolution and accepting where you are. Judgement about where you are is similarly indulgent. Indulging feelings like… I am here but I “should” be somewhere else wastes your life force and prevents you from feeling content with your life.

TAKING ACTION:

Objectively assess and accept where you are on your evolutionary trajectory through life. This may require some inner work. If you are not where you would like to be in life, allow for the stages of grief until you reach acceptance. Then determine if there are steps you can take to make changes in your desired direction. Make a plan and enact your action steps without expectations of results. Simply, maintain an open heart and willingness to learn and grow.

Keep an attitude of gratitude

There are many benefits to maintaining an attitude of gratitude. Research shows that it will make you healthier, more resilient and increase your self esteem. From an energetic perspective gratitude opens the receptive flow of energy. It allows you to be filled with what is real and available.

TAKING ACTION:

Develop the habit of gratitude in action. Express thankfulness in all areas, big and small and show your appreciation to the people who are a part of your life. It opens the flow of energy and brings a sense of fulfillment and contentment. Learn to enjoy the simple things that are free like having  meaningful conversations or taking a walk in nature.

Tend your spirit

Your spirit is your inner world system processing the energy of your life. It is the compliment to your heart in the outer world. Spiritual health supports heart health. I want to note that spirituality is different than religion. While organized religion based in truth can nourish one’s spirit and provide community needs, there are many other ways to foster spiritual health as well. Many people practice meditation, connect with nature or simply surrender to the natural flow of living authentically.

TAKING ACTION:

Don’t wait to fulfill your purpose in life. Aligning your life with your purpose is a lifelong journey, it is not something to put off. It will bring fulfillment, satisfaction and contentment. Live with passion, this is the energy flow that will motivate and nourish you. If the idea of purpose and passion seem out of reach then simply fill your life with the activities and connections that are meaningful to you. Pay attention and you will find clues to your passion and purpose in these moments.

Love people not things

Material possessions are a nice part of life and you may feel a temporary surge of happiness acquiring things but they are inanimate objects and they will not nourish your heart nor bring life sustaining contentment. Directing love towards objects is an energy drain, there is no life to respond. A love based connection with another person on the other hand is creative. The loving exchange will generate energy and nourish your being.

TAKING ACTION:

Only spend time with people who fill your bucket and avoid connections with people who drain you. Focus on seeing, hearing and acknowledging the people you spend time with and show them that you appreciate them with your actions. You can then extend the love by practising random acts of kindness.

Move through life with an open heart. Emotions are part of what makes us human, they add depth to your life and keep you connected with others. Strive for contentment as your emotional goal.  Be present in the moment and open to the full emotional range but don’t attach to the negative or positive emotions. Allow them to be felt and released; let them go. Always return to the stillness in your center. A peaceful heart can express love and it can receive love. It is contented.
